as we all know, Republican/Libertarians aren't interested in governing and improving the lives of Americans.. they're interested in manufactured outrage, getting soundbites on the mainstream media and weaponizing their role to advance their racist, bigoted, misogynistic agenda.

it'll be interesting to see just how far they go to attempt to further dismantle traditional American values and make a mockery of themselves of themselves and their pathetic political party.

To date none of the GOP Congressional leadership has voted to stop their salaries if there’s no budget.

I suspect they are being funded by lobbyists and 501(c)(3) PAC’s who are in turn being funded powerful people both domestic and foreign.

All that they really needed to get the motivation was trump lambasting them and asking for it. The only two things they've done this cycle are 1. start a nonsense impeachment inquiry and 2. fight all attempts to have a normally functioning government. Both things Trump explicitly asked for.

I truly can't wait for the day that Trump disappears from the public eye no matter the reason.

In a fresh show of governing futility, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday failed to pass a six-month extension of government funding, with a measure attached to please Trump that makes it harder for Americans to vote.

The Republican nominee’s demands for a bill that targets noncitizen voting, which is already illegal, pushed Johnson into a corner with no obvious exits, raising the possibility of a Washington crisis in the run-up to Election Day that could blow back on the GOP.
