my wife and I are roughly the same height.. she's maybe an inch taller (Division I hoops player in the house).. she needed to measure the hem of a skirt the other day, so I put it on so she could get a rough, real world estimate of where it would hit on her and if it needed to be hemmed.

No idea how they predict this stuff a month in advance.  Hope they're right.

The eclipse will be 100% over niagra falls. We're taking a long weekend to go there in hopes to see it with the kids. We've actually planned on doing this for a few years.
Even if it's a bust, the girls will still have fun as there is a lot for them to do.

Hope it's cloudless for your stay there.  Been reading animals get confused when eclipses happen and do strange things.  Think there's a zoo on the Ontario side.  Might be an interesting place to view from if you don't have another venue set.  Have a great trip!

Googled totality in Troy.  98.3%...higher than I thought.  Interesting site with some cool links.  One shows the progression of what the eclipse will look like from wherever you are. Will be handy if/when it's cloudy.

Pretty sure 2017 was only about 80% here. Didn't think it that dramatic.

Remember the 1979 eclipse. Was mostly sunny that day but campus darkened substantially.

You can get FREE paper eclipse glasses from the East Lansing library. I’m sure they’ll do a decent enough job of protecting your eyes. You get what you pay for of course but what does it matter if you lose a little vision when you have to spend your days looking at that unsightly trash town when you walk out your front door.

Worst bridge traffic I've seen is back ups on the 402 trying to get back to the US. Sometimes over 5 miles at the end of holiday weekends. Lot of gatorade piss bottles on the Blue Water Bridge.

I'm going to miss it. I have surgery Monday instead of Tuesday, now. Post pics!

Twitter is really entertaining.  There are a couple guys predicting end of the earth type shit  one guy actually is using our space force symbols, and showing how it matches up with the patterns of the eclipse and I guess in his mind that means the end of the world
