Conversely other citizens have a right to question the policy goals of the organization without the degradation of attacking its members for their beliefs.
Their stated goal is essentially lobbying on behalf of a foreign nation. Are you so naive as to think no Israeli citizens are involved in AIPAC? Or are you just being disagreeable because you're bored?
Maybe, but not exactly. What I think my point is, ignoring sub-conscious motivations, is that any group of US citizens has the right of association to support any cause they want to support. In this case what they think are Israel's interests. They can even support them to the detriment of the United States, even if I personally believe that is anti-American.

I would rather see his take a position on what should be done by the government verses what should be done by private businesses that seeing him shooting at easy targets.
Wake me up when he comes out in favor of Medicare for all, a basic living stipend from the government for all, and a 90% rate for high incomes with all income counted.

I support Medicare for All and remain committed to making it a reality. I supported HR 1384, which would guarantee health care for under a single payer system. This would involve removing Big Pharma profits, hospital monopolies and facility fees from the equation, saving nearly $17 trillion in fees.
Standing with Working Families
We should raise the minimum wage to $15 – what it would be if it had kept up with inflation over the past 40 years – and index it to inflation thereafter. In the Bay Area where the cost of living is especially high, it is essential for workers to have a baseline of economic security so they can provide for themselves and their families. I am encouraged to see that raising the minimum wage is gaining bipartisan support and I am committed to working with Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to make sure people working full-time in minimum wage jobs can support their families.
As a member of Congress, I will push for comprehensive tax reform to curtail ballooning inequality and make tax credit compliance easier for working families and small businesses. The growth of special deductions, exclusions, and tax breaks for the wealthy increase the time and resources individuals must spend on calculations and documentation requirements to pay their taxes.
Perhaps not the verbatim Trapper Gus plan, but not bad for a UC educated, dyed-in-the-wool economic conservative.

For people whom many people look at as being super smart wealthy people sure are stupid when it comes to understanding how to create a government that more of the population will support.
Tax cuts for the wealthy is a very unpopular policy, and running the government into the ditch is not good for business.

I'm not saying that folks aren't struggling.. 'cause I know a lot of people are. Heck, I left Meijer yesterday carrying one bag of stuff with my wallet about 65 bucks lighter. But, as you mentioned, seems like folks are still spending money on trips, dining out, etc.
could be the 'haves and have nots' - and, of course, republicans/libertarians and the mainstream media millionaires convincing people who make $50,000/year that people who make $12/hour are the problem.

You can rail against the reality of it all you want; however, we have a binary choice in our political system. Biden or Trump. If you don't choose Biden, you are giving at least half a vote to Trump.
Sure, personally there are a bunch of things Biden has done that I like, and if he gets a Democratic Congress, I expect more things that I like will happen. There are also things he has done that I don't like, but even with that he is the only choice for the things I support. You may hate everything he has done, and want Trump to win, which, BTW, I have no say in, other than to argue that what the Republicans want to do is to turn the country over to the wealthy few, which isn't either of us.

What are my choices? Because I am going to vote for president. I respect your knowledge of current topics.
I’m for a women’s right to choose
I hope we can preserve more land for future generations
I want realistic gun controls in America
I support universal health care
I believe in vaccines and I trust the CDC
I want equal protection under the law for every living human being including all lgbtq minorities etc
I support stronger boarder policies with the understanding asylum is a real thing for desperate families
I abhor book bannings
I believe in public education
I believe in freedom OF AND FROM religion
A ton of other things.
Tell me what my best choice is for president. Because I’m voting. I will always vote. I’ve lived through elections where all of America knew by voting for someone else they were really only hurting one candidate not helping theirs. (But I respect the fact they voted)
So, I’m 62, retired, not rich, not poor. Two daughters in their 20’s one getting married. One swearing she will not bring children into this world. A wife who will be retiring soon. I’m pretty sure my personal life won’t be changed much no matter who wins.
I’m concerned that our country won’t be the same as it is now for you, my daughters my friends. My wife and I will make it to the finish line pretty much unscathed.
Which candidate do you recommend I vote for and why? I’m not being smart ass here. I want what is best for our country and your generation.

To clear it up for you, when someone says "may" it evokes the unspoken "or may not" in thought.

I think Trapper is wrong in stating that Cameron “wants” Trump to win. In my opinion Cameron is so passionate about the horror going on in Gaza that he can’t in good conscience vote Biden.
Both trapper and I believe that many voters like can that won key states for Biden in 2020 will deliver the state to Trump by going to vote, voting down ballot but skipping the president.
I don’t know if this phrase puts it right either, but Cam is so passionate about the horror in Gaza that he understands a non vote helps Trump but his moral compass can’t let him check Biden. Maybe I’m wrong.

I apologize. The phraseology I used is being interpreted in a way I did not think it said, nor meant.
Cam in everything he has posted, has been very clear in his opposition to Trump, and my attempts to cover all the bases in my post has created exactly the opposite of my intent or my knowledge of Cam.
As stated, I apologize to Cam for creating the wrong impression and to the board.

Trump just came on TV cam, he just said that he would advise Israel to get it over with fast. Don’t mess around anymore. Get it over with fast because they’re losing the PR war.
So, while there are some things, Biden might do that would not allow me to vote for him: rape women, grab women by the pussy, etc, I think it’s more accurate to say at this point I will vote for Biden, because I live in a key state, and if Biden loses that key state, I realize that what is going on in Gaza now will look like a Sunday picnic.
I’ve never been so unhappy about a choice in my life at Pres But I will do everything I can to keep Trump out of office
Take that anyway you like it.

Right on.

I have never donated to a political candidate in my life until Monday when I threw a couple of shillings (not Gavin) Biden's way because to me, beating Trump is the only acceptable outcome.

If not, you are just as uselessly partisan as Trapper.
The only alternative is to vote for the narcissistic asshole or to not vote at all. It's not a hard choice.

"Guess I have no choice, I have to vote blue no matter what" is not gonna make anyone work to earn your vote or honor your policy preferences in any way.
Most of you seem to content to take what you get like good little obedient stooges. My vote isn't so cheap.
Donald Trump could win by exactly the electoral count of Michigan, and he could win the state of Michigan by exactly one vote, and I would view that as Joe Biden's fault, not mine. If supporting Israel's genocide is more important to him than the future of our country or his entire legacy, then he can maintain course and be sure he'll get what he wants.

Which is why I’m doing what I can to get Joe Biden re-elected.
