How's the weather out there in Michigan?

Hoping you guys have a great summer - sounds like you had a rough few months.

It's lovely here in Colorado, definitely finally spring. Blossoms are on the trees and bushes, birds are buzzing around, everyone's throwing sacks of chemicals on their lawns. It's that perfect time of year where you can leave the doors and windows open all day without it getting too hot or cold.

Cym Jim, I want to move to Colorado after I graduate. How is it out there? I've only heard great things, any negatives?

It's...meh. Snowed a week ago to set the record for snowiest winter in the history of metro Detroit, but It was sunny and warm on Sunday. I didn't realize how pale I got this winter until I got sunburned on Sunday.

Not many. Property is affordable, tons to do, politics are nice and purple depending on where you are, great sports and entertainment options in Denver. It's well placed for travel too - can drive to Vegas, Santa Fe, Salt Lake etc.. People are a little too perfect but that's maybe my tax bracket. People were definitely a little warmer in MI. Tons of crazy active folks but you can engage in that scene as much as you like. We do a lot in the summer in the mountains (camping, fishing etc.) but not a lot in the winter. Only real negative for us is being out in the Denver suburbs, so nothing is walkable other than the neighborhood park. Miss being able to walk home from the bar! But, we chose big house and good schools over being in a hip part of Denver, and I'd make that choice again. Tons of Spartans - there were a few hundred of us at Blake St for the Rose Bowl game.

You'll wish you lived in Michigan when the Water Wars start. Your oatmeal is gonna be a tad dry.

couple of inches of snow in the slums of East Lansing this morning.. got to shovel after my run. Unseasonably warm. It was 34° at 6:00 AM.

gonna get cold this weekend, thankfully.

Yep, went without for ~7 hours. Just went on about a half hour ago.

btw, today’s outage once again reinforces my belief what a horrible pioneer I would’ve been. No heat, no electricity, nothing, sucked. I even missed the quiet hum of the large electric appliances. It was much too quiet in the house today.

Just rain down here south of A2, but the forecast fo the rest of you looks messy.
