Former Spartan LB on new Survivor this fall
Jaclyn Schultz & Jon Misch
College Sweethearts
Jaclyn Schultz
Age: 25
Current residence: Las Vegas
Occupation: Media buyer
Personal claim to fame: Winning the title of Miss Michigan USA 2013, the first pageant I ever competed in and using the platform to be the first woman to ever come out with having MRKH syndrome (born without a uterus) on an international scale. MRKH syndrome affects 1 in approximately 4,500 women around the world.
Inspiration in life: Giuliana Rancic for being so strong and open with her and her husband's journey with surrogacy
Why I'll ''survive'' Survivor: I am a survivor in my everyday life because I was diagnosed with a life altering syndrome at 16 and didn't let it destroy me. Being told I wasn't ''normal'' and could never have kids was the last thing I wanted to hear at that age. I've learned to try and turn every negative into a positive and that life will always throw hard things at you, but it's how you handle those obstacles that matter the most. This game is tough. It's challenging mentally, socially, and physically and I know that I can overcome anything is thrown at me no matter how bad it hurts and no matter how many times I break down just because I have in my life.
Playing Survivor with my loved one means... Jon and I get to experience something that only three or four couples ever have. Blood vs. Water seems to be so much harder than playing as an individual because we have to learn how to maneuver through this social and physical game together. Our sole purpose of being on this show is to challenge ourselves, but to also win to start a family by adoption or surrogacy.
Jon Misch
Age: 26
Current residence: Waterford, Mich.
Occupation: Financial assistant
Personal claim to fame: Winning a Big 10 championship at Michigan State University
Hobbies: Working out, playing piano, and researching wine
Pet Peeves: People with too many pet peeves
Three island must-haves: Piano to play and entertain myself and others, football for entertainment and to make friends, wine (to get drunk—duh!)
Survivor contestant I'm most like: Hayden. I feel my personality is a lot like his and he's also an athlete that uses his head.
Why I'll ''survive'' Survivor: I can build a fire from scratch, debone/gut a fish, catch lizards, and lift things up and put them down.

He's gonna win soooooooooooooo much!!!
Seriously, from interviews and such, I remember him seeming like a very likeable guy, so I could see him doing well in the social aspect of the game.

Wife and daughter like to watch this, so I will watch for the sake of a good Spartan representative.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:How's he doing? And more importantly, how's SHE doing? Dayum!
I don't think they hardly showed her, but it was kind of guys vs girls on her tribe and the guys won, so the men might pick the women off. Nothing was shown yet to indicate if she's liked or not.
Misch wasn't focused on too much either, but they did show him saying that his dad was recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, so he's likely getting sympathy points from viewers (and may indicate that he goes a little ways in the game if they're trying to get a heartfelt story line going...not that the game is fixed, but the producers know the outcome before editing, of course).
As for his game, it looks like the African American guy is building a big alliance that does not include Misch or the other young guy. So it depends on if that group values competition strength, or is already worrying about physical threats.

I'm one of the holdouts that still watches Survivor every time, it's the only network series I still watch. Last night was a pretty good episode, neither Misch or his GF stood out which isn't a bad thing. Nails that stand out tend to get hammered down.
