Walmart blaming Tracy Morgan for his injuries

In its response, Walmart said the injuries were “caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs’ failure to properly wear an appropriate available seat belt restraint device.” The company said by not using seat belts, the plaintiffs “acted unreasonably and in disregard of plaintiffs’ own best interests.”

How 'bout, keep your effing mouth shut, pay the fines/damages and then the thing will go away on it's own.

I think there's a more artful way to say the same thing, that probably wasn't it. But let's be realistic, you're supposed to wear a f ucking seat belt. Say, for example, this was a couple of dudes in their pickup out in the woods and they crashed into a tree, got killed, because they weren't wearing seatbelts. You guys would say "Darwin candidates" - so was Tracy Morgan. Just stupid. Wear your seatbelt. There's a reason why children must always be in a seat belt or car seat. And, folks, this is it. Unfortunately this is life. Now, I'm not arguing that the driver wasn't at fault here, just pointing out that Morgan should have been wearing a seat belt.

You misinterpreted my post. I'm not saying it was Morgan's fault, I'm saying that he contributed to his injuries. The seat belts were designed to protect human beings from unavoidable accidents. The unexpected. Just because it may not be commonplace to wear a seat belt in a limo doesn't absolve passengers from any causation, with respect to their injuries (I'm not talking legally). Seat belts aren't just a good idea, they're the law. I wear my seat belt all the time.

Many of these Hollywood types believe they're larger than life and can't comprehend what ordinary folk deal with daily,  like common traffic accidents.  Unfortunately this ethos may have hurt Morgan more.
