In a way I do. My wife's family if Filipino and they live about 45 minutes away from us. My family lives 3 hours, by plane. Certain holidays and any Pacquiao fights are done with her 'family'. I think only about 50% of the people that show up are blood related, and usually I'm one of about 3 others that aren't Filipino. Its fun though, I usually just sit with the other guys and we drink. If they start talking in Tagalog, I'll stay there, until they get drunk enough to start talking in English again.

I got Chicano in-laws. It's all a party!

My BIL lives a block away, and my MIL and other BIL live 10 miles away, so I see them all the time (FIL passed away a few years ago). The rest of the in-laws all live in Chile.

Do we "party" with them? We usually see them for cake and stuff on anyone's birthday, plus Thanksgiving, Christmas, and often BBQs and swimming here and there. We see them a lot more than that, but sometimes it's just hanging out, or dinner, not really a party. I don't go out and get drunk at the bar with them, or have any big wild parties with them, though.

I see various representatives of my wife's family about once every 2-3 years... when this does occur, I might have a beer or two with them.

don't think that counts as "partying"..

I sit with just my FIL pounding booze while either watching the game or outside grilling, while everyone else is in another room arguing. Does that count as partying?
