Looking at the votes, I'm curious, who thinks McDonald's is better than 5 Guys?

Can you elaborate, please? Does cost factor into your decision, or did you loose your taste buds in a tragic smelting accident?

Just don't think 5 guys is that great
Classic McD (double) cheeseburger is always the same and a good ratio of bun/meat

Damn, I can only compare 5. Also, before Conrad's made all Burgers made to order, one of them was named after me, so they're #1.

btw...Five Guys burgers and fries are overrated. The burgers are alright but the buns suck...always fall apart around halfway through eating one. The fries are not in anyway crispy...just a bag of greasy shit.

Off this list I'm picking the Peanut Barrel. But honestly, I would take a Red Robin sauteed shroom burger over any of them. I love Red Robin burgers.

Re: Five Guys Burger Poll
If we are just talking chains I would add SmashBurger (Founder is an MSU a Food Science grad), Culvers and Red Robin.
Leroy's and Dagwood's are two places with very good burgers. Just straight forward bar food prepare well.
I have been to both Bagger Dave's and Five Guys several times and just don't understand buzz. There was a time I would have voted for The Peanut Barrel and Cruchy's but that was at least 5 years ago. Sadly both have gone downhill with Cruchy's leading the way.

No. Just really drunk and thought he was at Five Guys when he was really at Red Robin where the fries are really pretty good.

Re: Five Guys Burger Poll
There is no 'hype' for Five Guys. What is this, 2009? Decent chain burger I guess. I do like their cajun fries. The problem is not many places will cook them medium rare for you any more because they don't want to make people sick. Order a medium rare burger and you'll get one that measures 160 internal. Order a medium well one and you'll get one that measures 165 internal. Lame.
Locally I'd go Red Coat first, Miller's second, 3rd is mostly irrelevant.

Red Coat is okay but doesn't live up to the hype IMO. Honestly, I rather go to Red Robin.

Not really.
They fry each order separately. Ask to have yours cooked a little longer, so they are crispy. Not too difficult.

Red Robin has the big wedgy kind of fries. More margin for crispy error there. Just sayin'.

Have you tried the chicken sandwich?
I had this guy that insisted I try their chicken sandwich and wouldn't stop talking about it as if it was something famous. It just tasted like a deep-fried chicken sandwich to me. Next time I will have to try a burger

The beginning of your story genuinely piqued my interest, and offered a mood-deflating ending. Nice work, fucko.

Reminds me of this hipster attention whore that spent 6 months and 1500 bucks to make a chicken sandwich from scratch... and then it was just OK
