Not a bad idea. Probably too risky though for this game. Especially if its going to be cold, but who knows. You'd have to be willing to give up an additional 20-30 yards?

I'm not sure about opening with an onsides kick, but it would be cool to get a memorable named trick play out of this game.

It's been done already. Duffy even joked with reporters of his plan against michigan, then did it anyway.
