I was on fumes today. Tank is 24g and I put 23.7 in. It cost $34 and change. Crazy.

And my investments are tanking faster than ghost calling someone a piece of shit

Have a short drive to work and don't pay much attention to prices, filling my V8 SUV (fuck-off, Prius Bob) up maybe every 3-4 weeks. Noticed $1.45 on a sign couple days ago. Think I paid 20-30 cents more last time I filled up.

Had started to think a number of years ago that $2.25 would be a reasonable price. This is weird.

When I was a kid there were a couple gas stations at 12 Mile & Mound (sorta kitty-corner from the GM Tech Center) that got into gas wars. Remember it being under 20 cents and may have gotten as low as 16.

In this new age, I think of current gas prices like the 2004 tsunami. The water receded way the fuck out for a while but came back high enough to kill a quarter million people within minutes.

Poor Exxon-Mobil. They might only make 3 billion in profits in Q1 2016.

I got my gas at $1.29 per gal in Melvindale. Yeah it was in shithole Melvindale next to the Marathon refinery, but since I work in the Ford Rouge complex it's always right there just waiting to give me gas 15 to 20 cents cheaper per gallon than those prissy overpriced gas stations in Oakland County near my home.
