Draymond Green says he'll 'learn from' arrest, expects quick resolution

In his first public comments since a Sunday morning arrest in East Lansing, former Michigan State star Draymond Green said he expects to move on quickly from the incident.

According to The East Bay Times, Green spoke Tuesday at Fortune's Brainstorm Tech conference in Aspen, Colorado, saying he intends to deal with the matter "head on."

"My legal team is handling it," Green said, according to the report. "It will be resolved really quickly. As a public figure, I just can't put myself in certain situations. It's something that I'll learn from and just move on."

A) We do not know if he wanted Green charged because B) Prosecutors have discretion over charges.

A person can ask for charges or opt not to ask for charges, but the prosectutor can do whatever based on the evidence. In this case the police witnessed the incident so the prosecutor's office likely went ahead with charges regardless of what the "victim" wanted.
