I fully expect somebody to buy up as much as they'll permit, then cut up the floor even further and jack up the price. Capitalism, man, it's a beautiful thing.

I could use a 4' x 2' section, grain long, to build a coffee table.

My SiL suggested that too...I'd never make it look good.

Sorry, there will be a hat distribution but no booze. Since you didn't ask about hats, we assumed you didn't care or want one, and we've already placed the order.

Early Big Ten power rankings: Led by Miles Bridges, Michigan State is back on top
Big Ten offseason power rankings
Michigan State: The Spartans are led by Bridges, but look closer and you'll see one of the strongest sophomore classes in America. Ward, Cassius Winston and Josh Langford are back, and they comprised Izzo's highest-rated class ever, according to 247 Sports. Add Matt McQuaid as a deep-threat shooter plus Ben Carter and Gavin Schilling in the frontcourt -- after both sat out last season because of injuries -- and the Spartans are No. 3 in our offseason Top 25 (and one).

NCAA Tournament selection panel to place greater emphasis on road wins http://apne.ws/2sZbQ0I
Doesn't mention anything about neutral site wins, but they should consider that too.

Basketball Floor Update
We’ve got good news and bad news and we are trying to be as upfront as possible.
Some good news: We now have all of the remaining sections in our building. Customers who purchased sections on Friday can pick them up, with receipt, Tuesday (7:30-5:30), Wednesday and Thursday (noon-3:30) and Friday (7:30-3:30). All remaining sections that have been paid for, must be picked up by the end of the day on Friday. Just show your receipt at merchandise pickup, and we will get you loaded.
Now for the the bad news: During the chaos of Friday morning we decided to close the line of people waiting to purchase sections at 7:30 am (there were people waiting outside the gate as early as 5:00 am). This decision was based on verbal estimates given by customers in line about how many pieces they intended to buy, and the anticipated checkout time of over an hour. The amount estimated exceeded the amount we had in stock, but we decided to allow sale of additional sections with the understanding that they could be picked up this week. We felt this was the right thing to do, rather than have people wait in line for an hour only to find out they were sold out for the day. As it turns out, customers bought a significantly higher number of pieces than they originally quoted. We sold almost 500 sections more than we originally planned. At this time, we are not sure how many, if any, will be available following the remainder of this week’s pickups. In the event we do have some more available it will be announced on Monday, July 24th via our newsletter, Facebook and website.
We sincerely apologize for not being able to communicate this more clearly on Friday. Many of the news reports that came out were based on interviews given before, or just after we opened. Staff who may have communicated with you about the intent to sell online were basing that on what the original plan was. Things changed considerably, and in the end we felt it was important to serve as many of the people who were here on Friday morning as possible. Many of whom drove in from several hours away. That being said we still had to turn dozens of people away after we closed the line.
There have been a lot of ideas on how we can improve a sale like this in the future (mainly reduce the quantity per person) and we want to assure you that we’ve heard you loud and clear and are always focused on continuous improvement.
Finally, for those of you looking for sections on the secondary market, please remember that these were from the practice floor, not the main floor as many people are advertising.
Thank you to all the Spartans for your patience and support. GO GREEN!

Translation: A couple of people bought it all up and will be slicing them up for resale. Good for MSU to point out these are practice court sections.

The top 25 college basketball players with something to prove this season Here are the under-the-radar players who will have breakout seasons in 2017-18
Cassius Winston, Michigan State: A sophomore point guard with an instinct for angles, maturity to handle leading this team, which will be highlighted by superstar Miles Bridges. Winston is set up to be a four-year reliability for the Spartans. This year marks the beginning of the next very good era under Tom Izzo.

MSU offers one last chance at a piece of the Breslin Center
EAST LANSING - Miss your chance to buy a piece of the former Breslin Center practice court earlier this month?
Fear not: 160 pieces are still available, according to the staff at the Michigan State University Surplus Store.
Getting one of the last pieces won't be as simple as lining up a few hours before the store opens, as close to 400 people did earlier this month. Prospective buyers must enter a drawing that started Monday and ends at 11:59 p.m. July 31.
