The Wings had a run of them because of how consistently good they were. The Captain, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterburg (so far)........

I know some players are going to move around but there's something about watching a kid come up, struggle a bit, establish themselves, enjoy success, become a mentor for new kids and then eventually retire. We've been blessed with a few of the great ones in Detroit and I've always hoped JV would be another one.

Still can be, we'll see.

I wouldn't argue with most of that except for Jiminez and Machado. I think both of them are ranked too low.

Machado is basically Iglesias right now.

Across all classes of MiLB Jiminez has a career ERA of 1.59 and a WHiP of 0.84 - I think he's the real deal.

Tigers should do the humane thing and trade Verlander to the Dodgers. Let him try to get his ring and lets get some prospects in return. He said in the paper he's too old for a rebuild. Well it looks like a rebuild isn't happening the strategy is more or less lets just let the ship sink.
