Meh.... I get it. He's a tit guy. Nothing wrong with that... but frankly at that stage you should be able to demand the full package. Kate Upton is great in the face and tits... but I hear she's got an odor problem.

Respectfully disagree. Was Velander's new girlfriend THE reason? No but I think dating her changed his routine(s). He's got a major change in his life and lifestyle dating another very public person and then he gets injured.

Athletes are creatures of habit, even more so with elite athletes. Some of those habits / routines maybe be out of the norm and not necessarily good for their lives long term. Tiger Woods had a great run dominating golf but once his personal life balancing act got upended his golf went down hill and he's struggled to get it back.

I put Verlander's situation similar to Woods because in both situations they both were injured and then had major changes to their personal lives and social routines. In Verlander's case the social changes didn't cause his injury but it changed his routines.

Changing his routines, I suppose it's possible.

My .02, I think Verlander played through his injury which set him back further. Probably pitched through pain last year when he should have sat. This year he finally took some time off the first half of the season to properly heal up and as a result what we are seeing is the old Verlander.

I love his fire, at two points last night I saw what type of pitcher Verlander is. In the top of the 8th he walked a batter prior to the double play and McCann came out for a chat. Verlander more or less shook him off, didn't want the chat was like let me focus. Second, Brad looked over the play on first that ended the 8th and Verlander headed straight to the mound to warm up before his manager even had a chance to decide if they were going to review it. Either way last nights game was something all of us deserved for sitting through so much crappy baseball.

Just looked up the baseball reference stat for record when behind and coming back for the win. Tigers have only come from behind 3 times when down in the 8th inning and 0 when down in the 9th.
