I am pretty sure Mark Dantonio and his staff will make the decision they feel is best for their football program and this young man without feeling any pressure from the Detroit media. He did not let the Detroit media's "crap" affect his decisions to reinstate Glenn Winston and/or Chris Rucker. He doesn't need you to fight this battle for him, I promise.

The Detroit prosecutors office used him to get some face time in the media, which is a sad state of affairs.

From the Detroit Media, there's barely been a whisper. They'd barely covered it at all until they were forced to when he was formally charged. Even after, whenever they had articles about his draft stock, they'd only mention it in passing and dismiss it as minor.

You either don't live in the Detroit Metro, or are VERY young if you don't recognize that their is a Detroit Media Bias and their has been one for years.

What would we all do if we cut his scholarship and then Ohio State or UofM picks him up? We'd lose our shit if he won a September Heisman.

I'd rather he find a school where he won't attract much media attention, it would be better for him and his team. However, if the coaches at MSU feel comfortable with him suiting up I would support their decision and pray he becomes the type of player that inspires other kids to turn their life around.

Yep. That's all I'm arguing they knew they'd get major coverage because the Detroit Media was bending over back words to cover this story and mention every chance they go that he was verbally committed to MSU.

Didn't Detroit just fire a teacher for trying to break up a brawl during the middle of class?

The big, bad terrifying Detroit media just can't wait to drag MSU's name through the mud. They mention MSU at every turn in this article about Campbell's sentencing. They must have exerted pressure on that judge to come down hard on that poor kid. What is wrong with getting caught on camera physically assaulting an authority figure in school, after all? Actually, I won't which was my point earlier. I recognize that a recruit is just that and that Dantonio and MSU can't say anything about the kid. For was we know, the offer has already been pulled. Since nobody in Jayru's camp is talking, we have no idea because MSU can't say anything.

So let's get this straight: kid had zero blemish son his record until he threw the punch at the other QB, which was wrong, but not anywhere near the level of "See Ya." Comes out that kid was talking trash all the way up to the lineup. Doesn't make Campbell right at all, but adds context.

Then he makes the huge mistake of fighting the guard. Never should have done it. Sure, the guard also made mistakes, but JC never should have done what he did. He was a HS kid who got into a small fight with a security guard, which is worse than a fight with another kid.

So he has paid. And will continue to pay. 60 days in jail is a lot for this kind of crime. And once he's out, he HAS paid. So take him on a short leash. This is real life, things like this happen. It's what happens next that counts. He wasn't running drugs, or using weapons, or drinking underage, or beating his GF.

And BTW, word is MSU is taking him.

Finally in this article they don't mention MSU, like I said, that is the first article I've seen where they didn't.

 If the article is about Dantonio's and MSU's decision on his scholarship it's about MSU.

If it's about Jayru and his court battle it's about Jayru and need not mention MSU at all. The fact that most of the articles have, is a clear indication to me, and multiple others who have posted in this thread, of the Detroit Media's bias.

Is that clear enough? If not I'm not sure what else to say at this point
