Kawhi hurt again, Warriors have mounted a huge comeback. Down 20 at half, it was 5 a minute ago.

I'm annoyed that Mother's Day stuff prevented me from seeing any of the game today. From what I can gather, seems like as soon as Kawhi went out, the wheels came off and the Spurs choked up a huge lead. Was it more choke than comeback? Does that question make sense? It was both probably, but more credit to the Warriors, or blame to the Spurs?

I missed the first few minutes of the 2nd half, but when I came in Kawhi was already out and it was still a ~ 20 ish point SAS lead. I would say with 7 min left or so in the 3rd. Kawhi was great and perhaps he heads off some of it, as he would have at least given them an offensive option other than Aldridge. But really it was Steph and KD catching fire and not sure how much Leonard could have done about that.

Klay was trash.

Day Day was Day Day. Converted a 3 point play before Steph's final 2 points.

Great game. I'll be surprised if GSW doesn't cover in Game 2.

As usual, Game 3 is gonna be pivotal.

Lol, Kwahi had 26 points in 24 minutes and the Spurs were blowing the Warriors out of their own building until he went out. He is also the two time reigning NBA defensive player of the Year.
I guess we will never know what would have happened or how a Spurs win and healthy Leonard could have impacted the entire series and that is a shame.

I didn't think Day Day had that great of a game. Was he out most of the 3rd? He had some stupid turnovers and tried to do too much, I thought. Then again, he also had some great plays and good D. The insta 5 points that Curry had helped turn things around. I think Leonard was still in at that point. I'm sick, so concentrating on anything right now is tough.

Yes, Draymond was in foul trouble. He had 3 at half. Some really weird calls both ways in that game. Phantom fouls. Sounds like he may have gotten a tech when I wasn't paying attention or had stepped away, too?

He got a tech for screaming over another player, or something like that. The SAS player slipped and the ball went out of bounds. Draymond screamed, got a tech, then chased teh ref down. I was surprised he didn't get a second one. The booth guys thought it was more emotion than taunting.

Didn't see much of the game, was too busy watching Better Call Saul. They were replaying last week's episode at 9, and I couldn't help but watch it again. I was checking the score on commercials, seems like I missed a decent game.

I was going to bet Warriors -13.5 but I couldn't decide how Herbie's hard core attempts at Keeping It Real (TM) would affect the team's mindset tonight, so I settled on 1h team total over 57.5 and game team total over 112.

I'm sorry, but the Kawhi got hurt narrative is making me nauseous. Yes, the Spurs were up big in Game 1 when he got hurt. Yes the Warriors sleep walked through the first half of Game 1. Yes, Curry, Klay and Durant couldn't hit the broadside of the barn in the first half of Game 1 (though Leonard was guarding Draymond mostly). Come on. This Spurs team is not that great, not even close to what they were last year.

Bottom line, Cleveland and Golden State are gonna meet in the Finals both at 12-0. And I still have Golden State in 5.

Well if you are saying that the best player for the "#2" team in the West being out is irrelevant (despite the fact that ahem they were actually up 25 points when he played) then the NBA playoffs are garbage. Then yeah you are probably right. But weren't you crying like a little bitch about Curry being hurt last year (when he was still playing)

I never 'cried like a bitch' that Curry was hurt last year. Please. It was a retort to help explain why things might be different this year in the Finals. It is vastly different from ESPN putting up the graphic every 12 seconds about how many points Golden State has outscored SA by since Leonard went down. And again, if you actually watched games and had witnessed past matchups with these two teams against each other and other teams you would understand why and how that dynamic was being overplayed.

San Antonio wasn't beating Golden State with Kawhi. They weren't beating them with Kawhi and Tony Parker. It wasn't going to happen. They probably would have won Game 3 if they had both. Best case scenario they stretch the series to 6 games. Irrelevant. They don't have Parker, they don't have Leonard and the two best teams in the NBA are going to meet undefeated in the Finals, both fully healthy. It will be a great matchup. I think the Warriors will prevail.

The key to Cleveland having a chance is going to be Kyrie Irving. If he plays out of his mind it could be a long series. Golden State doesn't have anyone that can check him. I still stick with Warriors in 5.

They win the first two at home. Cleveland takes Game 3. Warriors show up big in Game 4 to go up 3-1 and absolutely will not let a 3-1 lead go to waste this year. This is my OPINION.

What if I told you that in 2017 there were more talented then ever players in the NBA. But that they were spread across the league and only three teams had acquired enough to actually win a title. And the balance of power was so out of alignment the top two teams aren't really tested until they meet each in the Finals.

Would you watch?

That is really spot on.  And no I am not really watching much.  The finals could potentially be great, but the entire regular season and playoffs to this point have been awful.  
I just spent the weekend at a kids bball tourney where the main event at night is whooping it up in the lobby and watching the games.  But no one is really even watching these games.  We did have a lot of good arguments though.
