What level of impurity is acceptable? Is 99% Republican, 1% Democrat a bridge too far, or would that still represent a "purity test" in your mind?
Bloomgberg literally held office as a Republican. Pointing that out is not a purity test. It's a common sense test.

Bad news on all of those fronts if you end up voting for Bloomberg in a general bob

I'd just like to point out how effectively Bloomberg has bought Pete and Klobuchar right out of the race. Their supporters should be as mad as anyone about Bloomberg.

Fine. But if that happens then you’ll have to cut out the “I’ve never voted for a modern republican blah blah blah” talk.

PBS: Sanders disavows attacks on culinary union, saying internet is a ‘strange world’
The candidate also dismissed reports that some of his supporters had gone after members of the union on social media for their decision not to endorse him: “Obviously, that is not acceptable to me. And I don’t know who these so-called supporters are. You know, we are living in a strange world on the internet….Anybody making personal attacks against anybody else in my name is not part of our movement.”

Politico: Could Higher Turnout Actually Help Trump?
“It makes sense to me the idea that nonvoters or unreliable voters don’t have a strong attachment to either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party but may have an attachment to Donald Trump,” says Meagan Day, a staff writer at the democratic socialist Jacobin magazine. “This population has no love for the two major parties, but it’s possible for a charismatic change-oriented candidate whose campaign has a lot of vigor, to break through and win their affections where the sort of generic partisan affiliation wouldn’t necessarily.”
In a New York Times survey of swing state nonvoters, Sanders was the most popular Democrat, besting Trump by 4 percentage points, while Warren was actually 1 point less popular than Trump among nonvoters. The same survey showed that between Democratic voters and nonvoters who favor Democrats, fewer nonvoters consider themselves “very liberal” or say they want a candidate who “promises to fight for a bold progressive agenda,” but more nonvoters than voting Democrats want a candidate who “will fundamentally change America.” The Times survey also showed that more Democratic-leaning nonvoters than Democratic voters in swing states support single-payer health care.

Agreed. As long as the Rs have a Senate majority and Mitch McConnell draws breath, nothing good can or will get done.

Wow, the came out wit the left and rights to bloomberg's head like it was Hearns Haggler first round.
Then my wife says, "I just wish Buttigige wasn't gay". Daughter and I look at her.... emmm... I'm uncomfortable with what you just said. Here's the deal, I know she meant that he will lose votes because of that and that sucks. But I really think in November that will not be a leading cause of the undecideds who vote.

Jennifer Rubin definitely an outlier. She got called out for that take by a lot of other msm journalists. She’s very conservative and probably didn’t like it that Warren shredded Mike Bloomberg.

I didn't watch the debate, but what I'm gleaning from the articles about it, Warren won the debate, Bloomberg got his ass handed to him, and Amy and Pete don't like each other. Relatively neutral performances from Biden and Sanders, it seems.

Gonna be a great election if we have to choose between a racist, bigoted christian sexual predator, former democrat and a racist, sexist, misogynist, former republican.

I thought Bernie was solid. He avoided attacks and got some solid digs at Bloomberg. Also, great night for him the centrist shredded eachother and Bloomberg has a disastrous night.

Yeah, "neutral" is a win for the front runner. I'm sure he was delighted to see everyone going after Bloomberg, and Amy and Pete going after each other. Normally, you'd think the front runner would take the most heat, but Bloomberg is a lightning rod.
