yeah - the limbs, etc were pretty frozen.. I was running in the woods and when the wind would blow, all the crackling sounded like I was about to be buried under an avalanche of wood.

We were lucky yesterday. If there had been any of the high winds that blew through the night before, especially the 45 mph that had been talked about, we’d be looking at much worse conditions around here.

Didn't see any ice here. Weird how it can be hit or miss.

Remember an ice storm in the early 2000's. M-59 was the dividing line. Lived less than a mile south of it and got pretty much no ice. Had to drive to Auburn Hills the next morning. Was beautiful with sunny skies. The trees north of 59 were all coated in ice and almost blinding in the sunshine. Ton of trees down too.

If it was 2006, I left from St. Johns in an ice storm to drive to Florida. Never looked back and never felt better about leaving the state.

Was definitely before 2006 because I was still married and making a run to pick up stuff from a semi that delivered for a food co-op my wife joined.

I'm definitely missing thunder and lightning this year. The number of late afternoon heat-induced storms is even way, way down.

Miss the thunder and lightning too. Many days seemed hot enough to develop a decent storm but only a couple short, silent rains.
