Nobody talks like that anymore because that movie was made over 75 years ago. You know, the art imitating life idea? The history of film is a long and winding journey, the same as the people who’ve created it and the words they’ve used to express themselves.
Do you refuse to watch classic comedies like Seinfeld because the series didn’t have cell phones until near the end?
Do you skip reading classic literature or anything written before the year you were born?

I believe I stated my cutoff was 1959 and before. It's not a hard line. There might be some outstanding movies that I'll watch that came out in the 50's, 40's, whatever. good idea on both counts.

I tried to get out of jury duty a couple of years ago.. I thought I was doing a good job at it.

turns out, I was doing such a good job trying to talk my way out of it that not only did I get a seat on the jury, but I was the jury foreman during deliberations.. the trial lasted nearly two weeks.

RIP to the defendent, brah. Dude got sent up the river.

The article I read last night somewhere said he had an aggressive bone cancer in his shoulders. Then an embolism during the operation for the cancer. So had a stroke and never regained consciousness.
