Perry Johnson had a fund raiser at Mar-a-lago last weekend.  Orange hair business guys stick together.

I can imagine what havoc only by the numbers leadership could do to MI.

In other news I saw where the last “numbers guy” MI as governor plans on pleading The Fifth Amendment if he’s called to testify at a civil trial in Federal Court about the Flint Water Crisis.

I can tell you from personal experience. A new website and a ton more red tape and nothing else.

After he reshuffled the departments, he would demand x y z reporting... it would take 6 months for his staff to figure out what the scope of what they are dealing with, 6 more months to develop a plan, (optimistic) 2 years to flush it out and produce the require processes and software, then it would be entirely underwhelming for 4 months until a new gov is elected.

This - while there are cost controls and other "business" processes that can, should be and are used in government operations the basic goal of business is to screw the customers as much as it can, aka deliver the least value for the highest cost.

Government should never be run that way.

I have read him from time to time over the years. He is a smart dude with interesting takes on the history of how thing got to where they are today.

What I know about Johnson is he made his fortune as an efficiency consultant and recently joined other MI GOP hopefuls in a pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to vie for Trump's endorsement in the upcoming primary.
