The Gator’s ring was effing enormous. It’s funny, because in a different year I also tried on another old Tigers’ WS ring and it was too small. I’d busted my ring finger and it was extra swollen. I’m so old now that I can’t remember who that Tiger was. lol

Probably Don Wert's ring. Maybe Rusty Kuntz.
No, it was a bigger name. Maybe Willie or Mickey. And Rusty Kuntz was a little after my time.

Not a great shooting night from 3, but she got to the rim with ease at times.
I would have tried to throw some different defenses at her.
South Carolina got 35 points from starters and 38 from their bench.
They also sat their best player the entire 2nd quarter with 2 fouls.

No problem with her being salty about those words.
I think she might overreact a bit to the bully ball descriptions. They're a big, strong physical team.

Oh absolutely. And fuck any journalist who did that. However, and it’s a big however, she’s savey enough to know if it’s not on tape or she doesn’t have another witness who will confirm that, the media can turn that into something it’s not. Even though I have no problem believing that was said. She can handle the heat either way.

Yeah. She is no joke as a coach.
Great game. I watched more of it, than I'll watch either of the 2 Final Four games tonight.
I'll give ESPN a shout out for promoting it. They actually talked to Clark at halftime instead of Iowa's coach. When has that ever happened?

Re: Caitlin Clark
This season Bluder’s been able to surround Clark with players who’ve learned to play with Clark. Last night showed how they recognized how to get open to get the ball. They know who’s driving the bus on court and know their roles.
Bluder’s defensive plan made Boston play in a phone booth. There was over 90 games on video that the Hawkeye staff had watching Boston own the paint on both ends. Iowa gave her no space for her game and except for a guard everyone else panicked the whole first quarter stunned that Boston was literally boxed out of the game.
I think L$U’s Mulkey is a better bench coach than Staley showed last night. More of Iowa’s supporting cast will need better games to win Sunday.

First women's game that I have watched start to finish. The drama was there of the best player against the best team and high stakes to boot. Impressive that she drained 4 FTs at the end to seal the win.
Not too many ally oops though.

If someone was calling her players monkeys, I’d hope she’d go to tourney officials and have them investigate to see if his/her creds should be pulled. The use of thugs is borderline, imo, but only because there seem to be a lot of people still learning of its racist undertone. No way I’d let some jackass cover a game though if monkeys is being used to describe my team. And a national reporter covering a national event using racist language is a story unto itself.

Unbelievable. Seems to me even an average attorney could make quick work of that rule. But nothing surprises me when we’re talking about unfair practices towards women and minorities.
