Yeah, it's nice when MJ donates level five hog riders. Wait until you can upgrade your clan castle to level 3 and hold a Dragon.

Maybe a week or two of regular playing before you'd be up to a level where you can join a clan.
The game is fun regardless of what level you are at. It does a pretty good job of matching competition.

I don't think anyone is getting booted, or should be concerned about getting booted. As long as you're active and not an asshole, you're probably fine.

Rotown. Noone will be forced to the Agoge. It really should be considered a "farming clan" where people can farm instead of war. That being said, we have a number of newer lower level members, so we are going to start a War to give them some war experience. Feel free to stop to the Agoge for a visit, or to war agains a bit of a lower level opponent, then return to the main Clan.

It will take a week if you have yet to download the game, to have enough resources to open the Clan Castle and join a Clan. A few weeks to get a built up mid-level clan.

If you have the game already, and a Clan Castle, come join Spartan Agoge. Once you build up a bit, jump to MSU Spartans.

the Spartan Agoge clan has several noobs; so don't worry about that. If you have a clan castle, you should join up. Getting donations of high level troops makes it much easier to go raiding for gold and elixir, which makes it easier and faster to upgrade your village.

The gf's stepdad downloaded CoC about a month ago or so after he saw us checking on our villages at their house. After a week or so we were at their house again and he brings up game. Says how addicting it is and is asking us questions about raiding, defense, what to upgrade, etc. During this time he casually mentions how he bought a few gems to speed things up a bit. Another week goes by and he's leveling up really quick. Soon he was donating troops at our level and shortly after donating troops better than ours. Was confused at how he was blowing by us until I looked at his profile. He's level 52 now and has destroyed 10 walls and 2 town halls. I'm afraid to even ask how much he's spent on gems. I'm in a small clan with some family otherwise I'd definitely join up. I'll let you guys know if anything changes though. The bigger clans sound like a lot of fun.

Question about wars: How does the game pair up clans? Do you have to have a big clan to be effective or would a little clan be matched up with another little clan? Just wondering if it's feasible for us to try it out or if we'd get stomped.

Based on # of members and a matching 'algorithm' that looks at the levels in your group... Usually pretty equal on paper.

Come on by Roedel. We are full currently at MSU Spartans, with a War starting on Friday. But join Agoge and jump up to MSU Spartans as soon as either we open up, or more likely someone decides to dedicate on farming for awhile a jumps to Spartan Agoge.

Great. Welcome Stoops. We have two clans and a few jumped over the the MSU Spartan Clan so we would have 50 ready for the next war. Once that war is completed people will jump back. Should be around 20-25 total by end of Sunday at Agoge.

When people in the clan request troops and write a small description of what they want/need, could you explain some of the popular ones?

I've seen people ask for defense troops, war troops, regular, etc.

generally, when I'm asking for war or offensive troops, I'm looking for higher up troops from others like hogs or wizards. Whatever the highest level troops my cc can hold. If I'm looking for defensive or regular troops I'm just looking for whatever people can give me. Usually archers are good. At your level, just hand out archers unless someone is asking for something specific. Worst case, if the person doesn't want them they'll just burn them.

Thanks that is kind of what I figured! I was hoping regular archers were "high" enough to be considered defensive/regular troops.

give out Archers. If someone asks for something specific and you don't have it, don't give anything. If someone asks for War Troops and there are a number of high level guys, let the high level guys supply war troops. If you guys want to war again, you are welcome to do so, but let Ryan decide.

Our war is yet to be setup. roughly 4:00 PM today. We don't have an enemy yet.

Roedel let us know if you want to stop by. We can see if anyone wants a break from this upcoming war if you want in.

Not sure if it's a new trick or what, but this is what you do.

Start an attack, but don't drop any troops. Then switch your device to airplane mode and switch back to the attack. Then attack as normal. Whether you win or lose, it doesn't register as an attack as you have disconnected from SC servers. Once game restarts, you have all of your troops returned and still have all of your attacks. Allows you to continually practice on a base to find traps and best method for attack.

The clan we are warring with right now is doing it non-stop. You can tell cause it shows an attack taking place, but once it ends, there is no record of it.
