Look trophy generation not everyone gets a second chance at a time. Deal with it. We had the regular season and literally two chances to get it. We did not. We don't deserve a third. Thats retarded. I don't think anyone is arguing for 8 teams because we should be in it. I think they are arguing for 8 teams cause 4 makes no sense whatsoever.

I just wish we had an 8 team playoff this year. That would be great.

Early speculation is first round games in an 8 team format would be played on campus.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 6 team playoff. Two top teams get a bye. Once you get past six teams they rest don't really deserve to be in the playoff.

Byes are stupid and horrible.

Also, would you even want a bye? You'd have at least 2 weeks off anyway, now you're stretching it to 3 weeks and playing a team that just beat high level competition the previous week. Sounds like a recipe for some serious rustiness.

Good point, maybe we should just stick with 4 teams. But do teams 7 and 8 even deserve to be a playoff? This year anyone ranked lower than 6 has two losses, in my book that doesn't cut it when it comes to playing for a NC.

Do the falcons or saints "deserve" to be in the NFL playoffs this year over the Cowboys, Lions or Seahawks? Nah, but that's the way it works. Not every year is the same and no system will work perfectly for every year.

Just sat the fairest rules you can (which includes at a minimum all 5 conference champions) and let it play out year to year from there.

I like the idea of the conference champion requirement...

unless, of course, we lose in the conference championship game.. then we still deserve to be in.

Sure, even this year there may have been some really good games with an eight team playoff. State might have even made a good game of it against Alabama since that's who they would have drawn. Mississippi State against Oregon. I doubt either lower ranked team would have won but they might have kept it interesting. If they ended up being a couple of blowouts I'd be back to questioning an eight game playoff.

FSU benefits from a weak conference and Nd at home. Sorry but they deserve to be in since they just win!!
