Maybe if you combine the S layer and the Spartan logo layer and then bevel/emboss/shade them as one layer rather than using text effects separate from the shading you're using on the logo.

I bet it would look more seamless that way.

Edit: Like, as in, if you combine the layers as raw pieces first and then add the effects so that the effects on the combined layers are the exact same parameter.

I'm putting together the poll now. Corner Blitz, could you try the lettering crest pulled forward like was suggested before or otherwise fool around with it so that the front of the crest is where it is in the "spartani" one but without the confusion about what it's saying? I'll give it a couple hours then I'm posting the poll.
