I know no one cares but that is an absolutely absurd call reversal. Called safe. Any available replay angles looked like ball beat him there but he missed tag. Reverse the call. On to the 10th. Fucking ridiculous.

Just reviewed the 9th. I will be honest I'm not 100% certain he was safe but there was no way you over rule that call. Looked like a whiff to me but the glove was close.

The pitching is a complete disaster. Soria was our closer and he pitches in the 6th inning for Pitt. Dombrowski completely failed with the bullpen for the last three years.

My .02 for 16 you try to find the next smyly and move starters to the pen. Norris? Lobstein? Boyd? I don't know who but they need to fix it fast in the off season.

Who knows what was going on behind the scenes. Seems like a more appropriate move would have been to demote him to the 6th inning. I watched Soria pitch 2x for the Pirates (vs. Dodgers and Mets) against quality lineups. He looked very effective and that's because the Pirates are using at a better spot in the bullpen.

Rondon just is not a 9th inning closer. Demote him and make him earn it.

Also, next year is going to be a complete shit show if we don't get some arms fast. I did a Pythagorean calculation on the Tigers the other week with their runs at the time and I used the allowed runs from the median of the AL. Tigers would be right behind the Twins by like a game if they had an average staff.

I actually flew home for the first game of that series. Was so fired up getting on the plane that morning. It was awful.

Seeing MSU beat Michigan that weekend made up for it.
