Got one about 10 years ago.  
Then got my ass kicked by a different strain that shut down WMU about a month later within 72 hours of a meeting on campus. Literally could barely stand for 4 days, high temps and couldn't keep anything down for 3 days.

Now I take my chances.

The pediatrician "well checks" were particularly insightful. Until each of the kids got to maybe 8 years old, they would generally be sick within a couple days after the office visit.

I always think about doing it every year but end up not. On the rare times that I start feeling like I have some sort of cold/flu bug I take a shot of NyQuil and I'm fine but tired the next day.

No disrespect to the medical industry. They are awesome at what they do, especially dealing with catastrophic injuries.

But, new medicine lost me long ago due to pharmaceutical promotion and nutrition babble-speak to support the pharma stuff.

I got one prolly 10 out of the last 15 years because I got one for free at some lame ass job. I don't know if I have ever even had the flu so I don’t think I will bother this year - especially with the govt injecting stuff to make us all become pacifists and shit

I usually get one. Hardly ever get sick. This past winter season was the exception. I got my ass kicked by a head/chest cold (the "flu") that hung around for weeks. Easily one of, if not the worst flu I've ever had. This year I might get the flu+ shot, which covers a few add'l strains not included in the general flue shot.
