Wonder if this is temporary or if Snyder is the new beat writer? MSU would be a better beat right now than scUM.
Who will step up at forward for Michigan State basketball?

I figure they're going to do more cross-pollination, having reporters/columnists write about more than one school, and less dedicated reporting. Easy way to have less staff, doing the same amount of work. $$$$$

Since Duke last visited MSU in 04, this is MSU’s 3rd trip to Duke. Also 5 neutral site games since. Izzo 1-9 vs K.

If Tum Tum can develop a mid range shot, that will be key.

Michigan State basketball goes to Indiana, hosts Wisconsin in 2016-17 Big Ten matchups
EAST LANSING -- Michigan State will play one game on the road at the defending Big Ten champions and return to a home-and-home series against its in-state rivals.
That's according to the Big Ten's 2016-17 basketball matchups, released on Monday by the conference office.
Michigan State's single-play road games for the upcoming season are at Illinois, Indiana, Maryland and Penn State. Its single-play home games are against Iowa, Northwestern, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
The Spartans' home-and-home games are against Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State and Purdue, to make the 18-game conference schedule.
Dates and times for the games will be announced at a later date.

He wont ever develop a jumper. There's a a reason he was the plan D croot that year.
If you cant have a decent jumper, as a guard, by the time you are a soph it will never come.
Very very very rarely will kids, especially in hoops, develop a huge part of the game in between soph-junior or junior-senior. You kind of are who you are.
Its like asking of Schilling will have post moves this year. We can only hope.

Re: 2016/17 Hoops Thread
The one injury was to rising sophomore guard Matt McQuaid, who Izzo said suffered a stress fracture in his pelvic area. Izzo said McQuaid resumed working out last week after missing most of the summer and that his recovery has been "really positive." Izzo also mentioned that point guard Tum Tum Nairn has been working out after having foot surgery soon after the regular season.

Tum was getting there over the off season last year and early in 2015/16. Injuries set him back big time.
But since you say it's impossible for him to develop a jumper, Izzo should probably just cut him.
Too bad Bellein isn't his coach.

Suton doesn't count because he was a forward. Walton probably worked with Harbaugh on his jumper.

Couch: 5 truths about MSU after Bridges, Langford dazzle at Moneyball
DIMONDALE – Michigan State’s celebrated recruiting class became real Thursday night. Something more than rankings or highlights or Instagram photos marking their arrival on campus.
Miles Bridges’ jaw-dropping dunks, Josh Langford’s ball-handling wizardry, Cassius Winston’s vision and Nick Ward’s space-eating frame were live in the flesh for the thousand or so curious souls who showed up at Aim High for the opening night of Lansing’s Moneyball Pro-Am summer basketball league.
Moneyball for more than a decade has served as a first look for MSU fans. It has never looked quite like this.
Summer pro-ams can be deceiving. The absence of offensive structure and consistent help defense tends to cater to raw athleticism over basketball comprehension. But there are truths to be taken from Moneyball every year.
Here are five regarding MSU from Thursday:
