Looks great. I also showed your photo to my wife, she refuses to put tinfoil down as a liner. 24 years of marriage can't get her to do it.

Chicken looks awesome.

She's as smart as it gets, but she believes tinfoil fucks with oven temps. Don't make fun of me. I can't do a thing about it. And if I cook she cleans if she cooks I do. One of those things you deal with.

Loose, what's in the oven? - Page 12 502811600 My ex is pretty fucking smart but use to think putting egg shells down the drain was bad for the garbage disposal.

Buy her one of these for Valentine's Day and pop for the oven-temp probe accessory

Yup. She "Cooks by looks". A fucking thermometer makes me such a better cook. I can't make her budge. Has a recipe book all hodge podge stuffed with different pieces of paper. She's so old school. Nothing wrong with that but modern cooking has made things better.

I think it was the general food thread. Sushi was in the title I believe.

No.  The best popcorn maker is Gold Medal.  Second best IMHO Paragon.  FWIW, both made in the USA.

The bid is already higher than the pictured popper is worth.  Smaller than you think and note the rust on the inner top.  Generic, made in china, not really a commercial popper even though it says so.

Thanks! I couldn't remember which one was rec'd. The discussion was in the other thread. My grandkids have started eating popcorn so that caught my eye.

If you are serious wanting to buy one, the following is a pretty good summary of machines:

https://www.samsclub.com/sams/search/searchResults.jsp?searchCategoryId=all&searchTerm=popcorn%20machine&fromHome=yes&xid=hdr_search-typeahead_popcorn-machine&_requestid=966093%5B%2Furl%5D[/url]

The first one from Nostalgia Electronics is essentially the machine in the auction.  Only with a stand, not 10+ years old, clean and if it does not work you can return it.  The model in the auction is no longer made and the Helman Group is no longer around.  The model in the auction originally came with a stand.

Sams Club sells Gold Medal poppers, one of the few retailers (not distributor) that does.

IMO, I would buy at least a 6 oz machine.  Which will produce WAY more popcorn than you need.  You can get by with a 4 oz, but you will be making a lot of batches.

This is the one I have:

https://www.amazon.com/Paragon-Professional-Concessionaires-Requiring-Commercial/dp/B001IDZGGQ/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1491616299&sr=8-8&keywords=paragon+commercial+popcorn+machine+8+oz

It is a great machine, I paid well less than $500 for mine (new).  I bought that model basically because I got a deal and I liked the way it looked, and it matches this which we also have:

https://www.amazon.com/34000-Hoppers-Frozen-Beverage-Stainless/dp/B0037XB632/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1491617725&sr=1-1&keywords=bunn+ultra+2+stainless

(Do NOT buy a slushy machine)

If you want a serious machine, Gold Medal or Paragon.  If you want cheaper, Great Northern or Nostalgia, which is really the same generic Chinese manufacture.  They work essentially just as well, the issue is quality control and durability.

If you do buy one, fair warning popcorn is messy.

Oh, and get these: (or something similar)
