Yeah, the Animal Liberation Front took responsibility for the Anthony Hall firebomb & mink farm damage, but it was the Earth Liberation Front who claimed responsibility for torching Ag Hall (now Morrill) on New Year’s Eve 1999. Sidenote: For all the fear globally about the possibility of terrorism that night (because of Y2K-inspired acts and panic), the MSU Ag Hall fire was the only place in the world where there actually was a terrorist act conducted.
for instance:

Re: General MSU thread
It seems like there are many who think that MSU should conduct an open search for the new President, as detailed in the State News.
https://statenews.com/article/2019/02/perspectives-on-closed-vs-open-msu-presidential-search
Seriously, how many qualified candidates do you think would want to go through an open search process; presuming they all currently employed at another institution in a top level position. While I understand calling for transparency, in this case I think it would severely limit the number and quality of the candidates who would be willing to interview.

If she does become President of MSU - just remember you heard it from me first, and on tSwill before anywhere else.

The official said Wilson will be named president of a major university. Prior to joining the Trump administration Wilson was president of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. wrote:

Nice looking restoration. Had an anthropology class in that area of campus fall term freshman year...forget which building...think it was either Old Botany or Chittenden. Remember the classroom being pretty cool...sort of classic, as opposed to other class locations.
Never had another class in that area of campus.

Re: General MSU thread
EAST LANSING – A group of four women running along a trail on Michigan State University's campus Saturday morning heard a plea for help coming from a dense thicket.
“We just heard this cry for help. ‘I need help! I need help!’ It just stopped us dead in our tracks,” said Cindy Eiseler, one of the four runners and the program director of Playmakers Fitness Foundation.
Eiseler and the three others paused along the trail, wondering whether they heard it correctly.
“Then we heard it again, somebody calling,” she said.
They couldn’t see the person pleading for help, she said. They were on a paved trail on the western edge of Michigan State University's campus.
Eiseler yelled from the trail, offering to call 911. The women hesitated to go into the woods, she said, not sure whether the call was legitimate or a trap to lure them in.
It turns out, it was real.
A 37-year-old man was found impaled on a stump around 8 a.m. Saturday after he fell from a tree about 6 p.m. Friday, said Michigan State University Police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor.
She declined to release the man's name or his reason for being in the tree. The man was taken to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
"It’s a good thing they were running," McGlothian-Taylor said.
Eiseler's group flagged down runner Chris Smith and three others running the trail as they waited for emergency responders. Eiseler told them the man’s voice was getting weaker, so Smith and another runner went into the woods to find him.
Smith said his friend started calling out to locate the wounded man. He responded but his voice sounded more like a cat, Smith said.

Spartan Cross Country To NCAA Championship Meet
Watched this girl in high school. From my home town.
So, I was also at the state final meet when Annie was a senior. She had the best mile time in America at that point. Pretty much the state final track meet stops for the mile and the 100 meter dash. People love those two events. Well, when Annie was gonna run, everyone was away from their tents and the popcorn stands and if you didn't know who was in the field with her, you were about to get the biggest surprise ever. Some Jr. from Traverse City St. Francis just pushed the hell out of her for 3 laps. Fourth lap was just an all out sprint for both of them. Fuller ended up beating Holly Bullough that year in a sprint, but the next year, when Holly was a senior she won going away and did it in 5 seconds less than Annie had the previous year.
I'm surprised Holly isn't on the team. I know Chloe is, but I don't see Holly on the team. Annie is a redshirt senior, so I'm thinking Holly is a senior. Maybe she's just running track? I have no idea.

back in my cross country/track coaching days (mid 90's - early 2000's), there was a young lady at Portage Northern named Sharon Van Tuyl. She was an absolute machine. Ran a 10:25 two mile and was something like a 9 time state champ between the mile, 2 mile and cross country. I believe she eventually ran at Boston College.
Then there was Dathan Ritzenhein from Rockford who is probably the most accomplished distance runner ever out of the state of Michigan. I think he was a freshman maybe around '99-'00. Ran an 8:41 two mile in high school.
he went on to run at Colorado where he won the NCAA Cross Country Championship in, I believe, 2003, 2004 maybe? Went on to compete in 3 Olympic games, etc. Always so amazing when you see kids of that caliber running in high school and are able to follow their career afterwards.
as far as Holly, Chloe, etc. go - as you probably know, distance running is so demanding and those kids have to hit peak performance levels while training to the very edge of not breaking down physically (stress fractures, etc). It's a fine line between maximum performance and being forced to sit out with an injury, especially at that level. So, it could be that they've been battling some nagging injuries, etc.
it'll be cool to see how the ladies do tomorrow. A top 5 finish would be amazing.
also, not to be overshadowed by the ladies qualifying as a team, Morgan Beadlescomb is an individual qualifier on the men's side.
