I personally like it, but does anyone have a problem with MSU playing Wisconsin on a Friday night, jumping on a plane to Maryland and playing Maryland on a Sunday afternoon? Big ten might be thinking they're putting it on us, but that's good prep for a Friday Sunday regional thing. And we wouldn't be traveling.

What is the prep? The two scenarios aren't at all alike. In one situation the challenges are equal for the two teams. In the other they are grossly different and heavily favor the home teams.DWags wrote:I personally like it, but does anyone have a problem with MSU playing Wisconsin on a Friday night, jumping on a plane to Maryland and playing Maryland on a Sunday afternoon? I'd be shocked if TI didn't have an opinion on it as we get closer to that weekend. Late game Friday then an early game Sunday is BS scheduling. And speaking of BS scheduling, we only play um one time in the regular season. That should never happen.

I think they had to squeeze games because the Big10 Tournament is a week earlier.
And as an FYI:
Maryland's schedule includes 2 stretches with games like that:
1/2 Penn State
1/4 @ MSU
2/17 Rutgers
2/19 @ Northwestern
And MSU has another quick turnaround...
12/3 Nebraska
12/5 @ Rutgers

ESPN moves Michigan State-Oakland tipoff time to avoid conflict with Lions game
EAST LANSING - Michigan State fans won't have to choose between Spartans and Lions this December after all.
ESPN has adjusted the tipoff times for a Dec. 16 college basketball doubleheader at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit, according to an updated schedule released by Oakland, to avoid the game being played at the same time as a nearby NFL game.
Michigan State will now play Oakland at 2:30 p.m. that day, following a game between Michigan and Detroit Mercy, in the first college basketball games to be held in the new downtown Detroit arena.
Michigan State and Oakland were originally scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m. that day, 30 minutes before the start of a home Lions game against the Bears just a few blocks away at Ford Field.

I will always think "pre season" awards are hilariously funny. How do they know who will have a good season? who gets hurt? It's just funny.

Let me see, should I stay in my hotel room and watch that, or should I go to the tailgate and have a bloody mary and a smoke and listen to music with friends. hmmmmm, hmmmmm, tough fucking call. (and frankly, I can't check in till 1:00 anyway)

I think you're onto something with that decision wags. Tailgate shows can die. Fuck game day and all that bullshit. Everyone stand behind guys in suits talking in hyperbole or cliches and whore for the camera! I can't believe I used to check that shit out. Last one I went to was at OSU with wake and we were there for 5 minutes and went to the bar.

I've seen this movie. It's called The Sinful Dwarf and features one of the hottest lead actresses I've ever seen.
EDIT: Upon further review she just seems averagely hot but she shows her boobs and bush in the movie which undoubtedly scored her extra points in my book... also I was high.
