It's time for enacting the 25th Amendment
This lying fucking racist liar has rambled on close to 90 minutes and the only thing I can conclude from this is that he's certifiably insane.

Stop listening to the fake news Frank. It's all just a big witch hunt. Guy is just as sweet/good as every other politician and President. Just give him a chance.

Your right. For my penance I'll listen to Rush for all 3 hours. Maybe even watch Hannity just to make sure my soul is cured of this evil.

Clapper actual stated on CNN that maybe trump is looking for "a way out" and might not even want to be president anymore.

We heard that 67,543 times during the campaign; that his erratic behavior was because he did not want to be president and wanted a way out. He wants to be president. This is who he is.

Doesn't that guy wear bow ties? I'm drawing the line at getting right with trump if it means bow ties. Can't do it.
I'm so distraught right now that I'm thinking of disassembling my favorite chain saw and spending the night hugging a tree in the back yard. I've fallen so far.....

He might have wanted to be prez, but Melania sure as hell didn't want him to be. Happy wife, happy life. His life has to be fucking miserable.

Surely somebody in that crowd has to at least nudge their buddy and say, "em isn't he leaving out 'on many sides, many sides'? ". When he read from the paper what he had said about the protesters on Sunday and Tuesday. Imean, how do you spin that today? On my children, I really believe he could indeed shoot someone and his base would not blink. Credit to him, strongest most loyal base I've ever seen.

Re: It's time for enacting the 25th Amendment
Trump filed for 2020 early for fund raising but another reason was he can call every appearance a rally for 2020 like last night in AZ.
At those events the audience is by invitation only and because its President Trump, protestors can be kepted blocks away for security reasons.
We are witnessing the end of American democracy and the GOP is responsible with their tacit approval of Trump on multiple issues.
Yesterday when President Trump was flying to or getting ready to go to his 2020 campaign rally the admiral incharge of the USN Pacific Fleet was relieved of his duties after the second USN destroyer collided with another merchant vessel and this time 10 sailors are missing or dead. China is saying our navy is a threat to the Pacific economy.
This is big deal shit and almost everyone's focus is how our President is pandering to his base trashing a sitting US Senator of his own party and promising a wall.

I woke up today a bit more frightened. Was talking to my 97 year old uncle last night about his service in WWII. His ship the USS Mugford was sunk in the south pacific and he was in the water for quite a few hours before rescue. He sees this "new patriot" stuff as bull shit and frankly has no use for people who are all about standing for the anthem and what he believes is "phony patriotic crap" by people trying to make a point, and he further thinks it's going to bring us into something much worse than he dealt with. And that was alot.

My God, I barely caught myself. Almost responded with the Obama era version of this. It would have been brilliant and scathing, of course, but still, I expect better from myself.
But, yeah, Goose, keep pretending you don't see anything wrong with this administration, by all means.

My grandfather was the same way. I know a guy that won't like hearing this but he also wasn't a fan of the over the top praising of the military and troops that we like to participate in nowadays. Thought all of it was over the top and not really all that healthy. I think it's a common thread for WWII vets.

Re: It's time for enacting the 25th Amendment
First off DJT was elected POTUS. He's the President we got and he's the President we deserve.
Removing him from office would severely damage our political system. You think we're an oligarcical system with a veneer of democracy now just wait till we start dumping Presidents because 40 percent of despise him.
DJT is a talented amateur with good election instincts but in the cutthroat world of DC where there is one true governing establishment with two public wings he's getting sliced up.
Trump is no more a racist than Hillary Clinton - he's a product of his well off background. He's not wrong that The Far Left shares blame with The Far Right in recent violence.
Except for the border wall he lines up fairly nicely with Democrats on a number of social issues.
I guess the thinking is for the Dems that they remove DJT and so damage the GOP brand that a true conservative like Pence wouldn't have a chance of enacting the typical GOP program.

I'm a bit frightened at what he might do, but I agree that we probably can't throw around the 25th like that. We knew we were getting a bombastic pervert that is about as big of a liar as I've ever seen who was going to be tough on immigrants and would be manipulated by the far right wing of the party. If we don't like it, there's 2018. Get motivated.
As far as removing him to damage the brand, I think keeping him where he's at will do more damage.

No more racist than Hillary Clinton.
The consecutive speak rule that you can't be critical of Trump without comparing him to Hillary Clinton.
Please enlighten me on the time Hillary Clinton called some white supremacists "good people".
I knew the guy was dangerous and valued himself and his businesses above what's good for the country and its citizens which is why I was very vocal on why he shouldn't get votes.

Look neither HRC or DJT look entirely comfortable hanging with black folk. She has history of ill-advised comments about blacks, Jews and Indians. Let alone her black affected accent when addressing minority groups.
I mentioned Hillary because she was his opponent in 16.

Trump is a talented manipulator with some branding skills. As for being president, he has a terrible sense of history, politics, and philosophy. I am in no hurry to let him off the hook by saying he is the victim of the "establishment." His failures are of his own making.
In respect to history, Trump has no working knowledge of constitutional principles. He thought the Oval Office was going to be another board room, except the country is not designed for the unilateral leadership he craves. His own arrogance often gets in the way, which leads him to rejecting expert opinion in favor of loyalists who let him do whatever he wants. While some of this has changed with Kelly as Chief of Staff and McMaster exercising some power in the White House from his NSA position, Trump does not seem bothered that his alt-right friends outside of the White House are now constantly attacking Kelly and McMaster. Trump should know that, historically speaking, this is not the kind of administration that can function effectively. There are lessons from past administrations he needs to learn. I suspect he does not care.
In respect to politics, he is terrible. I have never seen a president so inept at working with Congress. Yes, before we get a lesson in basic American government, we know the president does not make law. However, the modern president is informally active in the lawmaking process, especially when it is legislation that is relevant to his policy agenda. Trump is aloof. He does not want to get his hands dirty. Sooner or later, if he wants to be a more effective president, he is going to have to get into the fight. He is going to have to roll the dice and accept some losses if he wants to see policy wins. the problem is he cannot accept losing so I suspect he continues to be entirely ineffective in his role as president.
In regards to philosophy, this is a country that was founded on political principles that favor elites. That is common knowledge. Not that Trump's populist "the people" rhetoric is genuine since his idea of the "the people" is incredibly exclusionary. Nonetheless, Trump along with approximately 64 million Americans, have forgotten this country was never a pure democracy. He keep feeding to his supporters that "the people" are in charge and he is an agent of the people. the people are not directly in charge and the president is not a representative body. Trump has a bad reading of American political philosophy, and one that is considerably dangerous.
One last point, there are no "both sides" when one side is fascism. Anybody who says otherwise is ignorant of what fascism is and the danger it represents.
