New Star Wars Trilogy in the works

OTPT is going to be so excited. Can't wait to hear him gushing about this.

'Star Wars': Rian Johnson Tackling New Trilogy

I was blown away by Rouge 1. Probably my favorite film in the franchise, or at least the best I've seen post trilogy.

I've avoided watching all trailers and teasers and looking forward to being surprised when it hits the theaters.

Also, is there anyway to watch the originals IV - VI without the add ons? I've been wanting to see those three in their original form.

I agree about Rouge 1. Unbelievable we had.to wait 35 years for a Star Wars movie to come close to Empire.

I went from 20 to 55 faster than Lucas could do something right, like sell.

Second favorite. It was t as good as the original.

Rian Johnson is fucking awesome. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table.

Add ons? What add ons? There's nothing before the versions you see now. Your memory is playing tricks on you.

Seriously, though, you won't find them legally. Maybe you'll find some streams somewhere of people who converted their old VHS or laser discs. I remember reading about some versions that made it out into the interweb that were taken from the original films and cleaned up and available in HD. Apparently some torrents from time to time, but that they get cracked down on very quickly. I just remember seeing that when I googled it once, but I have no idea what the underground mega-geek word on the street is.

It would be cool and retro to see them like that, but I've moved on. It doesn't change the story, or my enjoyment of them. As long as they don't edit out the storm trooper hitting his head going through the door, I can live with Greedo shooting second.

Actually, for Rogue One that's incorrect.

Sometimes the bad guys win in Star Wars otpt. The good guys usually end up with something going for them even then tho.

I loved it. Felt like it brought in some fresh ideas and some needed change. Was great to see mostly new characters and the special effects were stunning.

I feel like in Return of the Jedi is where I miss the old parts the most. I liked the original ending and I liked the original song on Jaba’s barge.

It was 100 minutes of fan boy service to explain a plot hole in New Hope. Every new character died in that movie.

Not sure how many "fresh ideas" there are in prequel that ends just as New Hope begins.

My first girl friend and I went to the first Star Wars movie in 1976 I believe She sat there saying ,”oh I’m sure” the whole fucking movie.

Darth Vader was hanging out in my back yard in Manistee that summer. Made it surreal to me. Great guy. He was best friends with my back yard neighbor in high school. I️ guess he got like ten grand for the first movie because they considered his voice a special effect and he wasn’t considered an actor.

Certainly has blown up the internet today. I'll go see it. I really liked 7, thought 8 was too whacky and hoping this one gets back on track. Usually a fun flick to see around the holidays because it gets everyone arguing.
