Franken screwed up and will pay the price which is at least no third term for the 66 year old Senator. What he did in the photo was wrong and the woman's account shouldn't be discounted.

That doesn't make questioning the timing of the release of the photo from the now 44 year old mother of 2 who was married 3-4 years after the photograph was taken any less cogent.

Your idea that you and others should dictate my daughter's medical decisions are twisted but fit in with your respect for one party authoriarian government led by oligarchs.

Nah he's not and the picture isn't particularly damning by itself, but when combined with the woman's account of their kiss rehearsal it begins to show a pattern of behavior.

Thing is, it was assault. She can accept anything she wants to. Doesn’t matter. If a guy rapes someone and the victim forgives him, a rape has still occurred. Assault has still occurred and we need to educate people on this.

So just to be clear to any "conservatives" who feel Franken is being given a pass by posters here, I haven't seen one poster that's defending what he was photo'ed doing and no one has discounted the remarks made by the women in the photo.

Like DWags and others I'm disappointed but its time for Franken to resign and go home.

Goose? Do you see a problem here? Do you think the hypocrisy of "christians" and "liberals" who are complete assholes is a bit much? Or, is it going to be posting stories about parties and not about the real issue: Assholes who think women aren't equal and use power either politically financially or "star" power to demean and abuse them. Who believe a woman needs to watch how they dress and if they're attacked they need to somehow shoulder some of the blame.

This is not a partisan issue. Fuck every one of these assholes who doesn't understand the abuse they've put women through. Leave us, go in your hole, and scratch your ass.

I hope more and more of these stories come out, I hope assholes don't try to make this partisan and understand that all of these knuckle draggers who abuse women need to get their nuts cut off no matter what party they represent.

I'm glad you asked Travis. First, communities need to take a more active role in raising children (but especially boys). We all know Hillary Clinton coined the phrase it takes a village! But seriously, it does. We can do that through our churches (probably the most ready-made units for changing behaviors), or through other civic organizations. The key is to enlist experts in child rearing and behavioral predilections like sexual dominance to engage with community leaders and teach them about how the way we raise our boys can greatly diminish or enhance their tendency toward sexual domineering behavior. Then that information is diffused to the general populace from the pulpit or other position of authority. Workshops/public information campaigns/etc. could go a long way. Thanks for giving me the opportunity, even though I suspect you were being snarky.
