I honestly thought Izzo recruited him to bust up a zone. Run plays for him and, after a time out, put him in for cash so cash didn’t play 38 minutes. Maybe 35 minutes. I was thinking there was some way to design a defense where opponents wouldn’t be able to exploit him, but admittedly I have no idea in that regard. What it seemed like was Izzo treated him like any other guard he had ever had. He needed to play tough man defense and run all the same sets. When Izzo spits on the sidewalk his spittle has more basketball knowledge than I do. So what the hell do I know. Kid did what Izzo wanted and was a captain. Seems like a great human being who made asses out of 98% of all high school competition he ever played against. Plus, he had the porn stash we all want. I’m a fan of his, but can we say maybe Izzo was just wrong here. If not in the offering part, the way he used him? Or should I just stfu cause I don’t know shit about the game?

One new face this season is Foster Loyer, a 6-foot guard who transferred to Davidson from Michigan State, where he was a team captain last season. Loyer is a former Mr. Basketball in Michigan, but he missed much of last season with an injury. “He can really shoot the basketball, and I mean really shoot it,” McKillop said.

Over the next 2:48, Loyer hit a trio of 3-pointers and another field goal. The last of those 3s came from nearly 10 feet beyond the arc. “I was excited about playing here,” Loyer said of his debut at Davidson. “I give credit to the rest of the team for helping set me up.”
