I used to be a huge fan of the Simpsons....talking like 15+ years ago...funny stuff. I recently have rediscovered it thanks to my kid who likes 'the yellow people' (yeah I'm a great parent, thankfully most of it is over his head).

Anyway, I'm watching an episode right now where Homer is the assistant coach for a lacrosse team with Millhouse's dad, and Millhouse's dad is kind of a lacrosse savant but Homer hates coaching with him. Homer calls Marge on a travel team trip from the hotel room to complain about Kirk (Millhouse's Dad).

Homer: "Marge....Kirk is like a sports genius who everyone hates!!"
Marge: "Worse than Jim Harbaugh????"

I remember that one. I was dying laughing.

MSU was mentioned last season. There was an episode about a rap mogul, and he or someone else, when talking about racking up credit card debt said, "I handled it about as well as a freshman at Michigan State."

One of the top people involved with the show, Al Jean, is from Farmington Hills, and apparently it's his doing when a lot of Michigan (the state, not the piece of shit) references are thrown in.
