I didn't have anything else to do, so I cleared our driveway, the neighbors, etc.

Man I shoveled yesterday three times. My drive was the cleanest on the block. Came in cooked the wife and daughter dinner. Fell asleep quite early. Woke up went out at 6 am. Had about 2-3 inches more to do. Put the shovel into it and pure rock solid ice underneath. About 1/10th of an inch on the whole driveway. Shit!! I’m not a salt guy. But right now pure blue sky and sun shining over lac saint clair. Coming through my kitchen window. I’m hoping it melts it. I know why school is called again today.

I don't get particular about much in life (music.. that's pretty much it).. but I take care of the driveway and the lawn. I suspect my neighbors wonder what kind of OCD sorcery must be pulsating through my bloodstream.

but, yeah, we had a thin layer of ice underneath the snow that fell overnight, too - like you, I don't throw down any salt. To hell with that. I'm a purist.
