I think he ended up going to some school that had 6 NBA draft picks (4 of the top 13) and somehow didn't win the Championship. They did make the Final Four though (along with Michigan State).

A local sophomore baseball catcher in the high school had to go on a tour of midwest super star camps, to get multiple times on his "pop/ throw to second, to get included in the AAU baseball circuit (traveling around literally half the country), to be on the radar of D1 schools.

Seems like it would be easy to mine those who fall through the AAU cracks.
