Maybe the research is secured differently and there are different protocols in place at U.S. facilities. There is always a risk, but there are ways to minimize risk as well.

I was talking with a colleague with strong business ties with China and he says it is worse than being reported. The quarentine that is. Shit is on serious lockdown. Can imagine trying to lockdown an American city?

They've been on an extended Chinese New Years, so the economic impact hasn't truely been felt yet. Shit could get ugly.

The other major impact is the upcoming Summer Olympics in Japan. Seems like a really bad idea (if it is still a threat) to bring people from all over the world into the region, and then sending them back out over the world. Seems like the easiest way to spread a virus.

Can't remember the specific part, but we had dinner with another couple last night. Dorian Ford is pretty big in our area. The biggest. The women in the other couple has had her Explorer at Dorian for going on the 4th week now. They couldn't get get a part for the transmission. They told her last friday it was the virus fault. I was skeptical, but maybe they (Dorian Ford) aren't lying. She's on her second loaner. When it gets to 2000 miles they want you to turn it in because of future sales.

Coronavirus poses a much greater threat than legionella and is being blown off as no big deal on multi-fronts.

Most concerning is the political inferences it’s taken on. If people like myself express concern because air travel and cruise ships (passengers and crew) making the virus being able to jump continents it’s being an alarmist.

We have a POTUS who has the ear of 35-40% of voters who are saying all we need is warm weather and coronavirus will no long be an issue.

When Italian public health officials are sounding the alarm and expressing concern it’s going to spread to other European countries its time to stop blowing it off.
