It's hard because there is zero reason to have any trust whatsoever in the people charged with coordinating the response. Members of Congress were busy tending to their own financial interests, and the White House is lazy and incompetent.

Do you honestly believe, after how the executive has handled this national emergency, and after reading stories about senators misleading the public about a contagious disease while protecting their personal financial interests, the institutions of government can be repaired and returned to normal? This is the most uncertainty any of us have ever seen in American politics. The consequences go well beyond a virus.

I think that mentioning the existence of a national government in our country isn’t necessarily a political conversation, nor is insider trading which is just an illegal thing corrupt people do. I don’t think saying that a politician clearly broke the law by trading on inside information is really a political conversation at all.
