On the cool side, but sunny and 65° is excellent weather for working in the yard.

Great. I’ll pm you my address. Have a shed and some gardening tools on the side. Couple of flats of flowers and an empty bed just to the south of the deck. Wife and I will be home by Monday night. You can use my garden hose to clean up.

I only help with yard work where there’s a pool for me to clean and cool off afterward. Then sunbathe... Euro style.

Wouldn’t let you into the pool, eh Floyd? That’s a tough one to swallow.

Heard some thunder this afternoon but fairly certain didn't get a drop of rain here. Reminds of summer '88 and at least one other summer since.
Haven't cut the grass in 3 weeks because it's not growing much.

Left my house late this afternoon to take dog for a walk. It was about 95 degrees. Wind kicked up just before I left and it was blowing pretty well with a bunch of nasty looking clouds. Driving there I can see some rain in the distance. Get to park to walk there was some really light rain and temp had dropped to 75 degrees and wind had dropped to just a light breeze. Turned out excellent. Driving home temp went from 75 to 85.

rained off/on most of the morning in my East Lansing ghetto.. looks like a chance of showers again later in the day. Mercifully, temperatures that aren't like the hinges of hell.. though still way too hot for me.. but it is July, so I can acknowledge that.

Looks like we might get a real banger in a couple of hours. Probably will need to give the dog her natural calming treats.

Rained like hell at work early this afternoon. While the 2nd floor office area of the new building is pretty cool, the industrial look (no ceiling tiles) they went for is loud as fuck in a hard rain. Might have to put in earplugs if/when we get a good hailstorm.
Got home to see it rained pretty good here too. Finally some relief.

I don’t know why or how, but so many storms go around us. A hole gets created. 21/Romeo plank got a light rain. So frustrating.
I just had to water flowers as they barely had anything.

It’s actually the warmest I’ve ever experienced this time of year. Very tolerable right now.

The surface water at the beaches is definitely warmer than that. Like 57 maybe.

Most times in Superior made my balls pull up tight. Camped at Muskallonge SP about 20 years ago. Was shocked how warm Superior was late July...it was comfortably swimmable. Figured we got there at the right time and weather had been calm for quite a while.Motown Spartan wrote:The Pantry wrote:

Camped at Ludington SP years back. Lake Michigan's temperature near the beach changed overnight after a nasty storm turned the water over. Went from very pleasant one day to "fuck that" the next. Was very cool, though. The storm washed up over the beach and left large pools of cold water sitting in the sand. Despite clear skies and sunshine, each pool had a thick fog over it. When someone walked into the edge of one, you could not see them any longer.

I live 7 miles from downtown Marquette and only a mile from Lake Superior. It’s 15-20 degrees different in temperature from when I leave for work in the morning to when I get to my office. And it can be clear skies and sunny and home and foggy in town and vice versa.
