Saban benefitted back in the day cause MSU was perennial tier 2. Really no chance of being at a higher level. (Which speaks volumes to Coach Ds run) & got a pay raise... easier crootin'.

Forgot about 2019. So both have one final four.

Also, there wasn't a dominant SEC team when Saban went. LSU's division had had 4 different winners in the previous 4 years when Saban took over. It wasn't quite the same as walking into LSU now, despite the NC 2 years ago.

Hopefully, if LSU is actually interested, Tuck sees the progress he has made here and sees a greater chance for success here.

He might not have a buyout (per se), but in effect he does have a buyout. They would have to overwhelmingly top his current contract.

I'm not buying it. I think they go elsewhere.
