Re: Random Ramblings
Got an HR email late this morning they were bringing in pretzels from Auntie Anne's this afternoon. Never heard of the place. Looked them up and was surprised at the number of locations...many in malls (haven't been to one since can't remember when). Noticed there's one on GR in EL.
Worst soft pretzel I ever had. I like butter, but not on pretzels. Skipped the cheese sauce they offered. Only thing that saved it was the bottle of Gulden's spicy brown mustard I keep at work.
Auntie Anne's sucks IMO, but reminded of great soft pretzels use to get when a kid. The pretzel vendor at Universal Mall in Warren made great ones...soft, salty, and not greasy. Were good plain without mustard.

Noticed another thin crack today spreading up from the original chip and curling toward the driver side. Time to get the windshield replaced. On the bright side, haven't cleaned the inside of the glass in about 4 years and won't have too

Try Chasco out of St Johns. You might even want to check into a heat pump type as long as you're getting a new one. Supposedly there's going to be some tax rebates on them.

Yeah I talked to 2 guys today and they both said heat pumps shouldn't be installed north of Tennessee. ...One said they are super complex & parts aren't available. He replaces more with furnaces then stay in.Jake from State Farm wrote:AvgMSUJoe wrote:Any Lansing area peeps got an HVAC guy?

Heat Pump Systems in Michigan can be installed with geo-thermal heat transfer loops. There is nothing more complex in a heat pump than in an air conditioner, since an air conditioner is a heat pump.
Also it is claimed that air to air heat pumps work just fine in cold climates, if the installer knows how to install them.

Re: Random Ramblings
The newer highly efficient heat pumps can operate at temperatures below zero, but they are not very efficient at that low of a temperature. The reality is most heat pumps aren't very efficient below 32 degrees. But they are significantly cheaper to run than a furnace (to heat a house) at temperatures above that range.
Heat pumps use some form of auxiliary heat when it is below its efficient operating temperature. For a stand alone heat pump like I have that is an electrical coil built into the handling unit. Heating off that electrical coil is quite expensive, so you don't want to do that where your temps are often below freezing. In northern climates that auxiliary heat is generally provided by a gas furnace.

Sorry to hear that. I imagine hearing those words from a doctor prolly alarmed you a bit, but I’m guessing they have some great stuff for it in 2023. Best to you guys.

I would just leave all my stuff there and drive home naked. It’s not like you have a choice here.

Company moved into a brand new building in 2019. Was set up with surveillance/security cameras...no big deal. Today, a company came in and removed the camera maybe 30 feet from my desk...then installed a new one maybe 6-8 feet from being directly over my desk.
Should I be worried?

Moon the camera two or three times to give them a hint that you don't like where they put the camera and maybe they'll realize their mistake and move it.

If yes, you probably have a camera within 3 feet of your face.
