little bummed, but I get it.

in no offense to anyone, once she wraps it up with the Hawkeyes, I'll probably never watch her play again unless it's with the women's national team at the Olympics. Can't say I'll design my evening around a WNBA game the way I might around an Iowa women's game.

I was one who thought she might stay for another season and then I saw an article about UConn's Paige Bueckers who was a highly rated recruit from Minnesota , Class of 2020 who just announced she'll be coming back to UConn.

After a very successful freshman season at UConn she underwent ankle surgery in April '21 and couldn't practice in the off season.

In December of her sophomore season she fractured her tibia in a game and was out 8 weeks. Bueckers came off the bench for the last weeks of the season.

The following August Bueckers tore an anterior cruciate and missed what would have been her junior season.

So far Clark has avoided injuries that have plagued Bueckers. Staying healthy, being drafted and continuing the endorsements plus a salary is the better way to go.

Frankly, I didn't even know it was going on last year until the "championship" round was on TV. And then, I couldn't tell you who was in it.

That will be some damn good basketball. Two final four teams going at it. It’s a bummer OSU clinched the title already. Can you imagine the intensity of that game? Some great talent out there today but the stakes aren’t as high.

OSU seems to be sacrificing this game to try to keep Clark from the record. Double and triple teaming. She’s spreading the rock around. Clark only has 6 but Iowa up big in the first quarter.

Iowa with a 6 point play with 0.3 seconds on the clock. Foul on OSU. With 0.3 seconds. Then OSU gets a tech. First girl scores her two free throws. Clark breaks record on the tech free throws. Iowa in bounds ball tips it in. 6 points in 0.3. 50-39 at half.

Watched most of this game at a bar.. wasn't glued to my phone. Clark was held in check early, but distributed the ball well. Iowa looked good as a team today, but I think Ohio State is probably better built for a deeper run.

It was pretty chippy a lot of the time. I get the feeling that a lot of opponents work hard to get into Clark's head.

was a lot of fun to watch.

Felt like Nebraska played good enough to win, but as soon as it went into OT, I figured the fatigue would get to them and Iowa's depth would be the factor.

Clark had 6 pts in the first half going 0’fer from 3 pt line.
But her 12 assists with the 34 total was jaw dropping.

Nebraska was playing their 4th game in as many day and it showed. As well as they were shooting they never had enough to runaway and hide like the did against MSU and the Terps.

However Nebraska flopped like Duke all weekend.

Also, I cheer for and respect Clark as much as anyone, but I have thought she whines a bit when she feels like she's not getting calls.

Saw a clip of her Dad from the Holy Cross game and he seems to agree with me - Caitlin Clark - Page 12 502811600

- camera cut to him and you can see him looking at her and mouthing "STOP".
