Funny thing happened yesterday. Tried Marco's again via Doordash. Ordered a large deluxe...received a plain cheese pizza. Looked at the receipt attached to the box. Who the fuck would order a deluxe and remove all the toppings? lol! Got a refund from DD for the missing toppings but won't be ordering Marco's again.

Got their pizza few weeks ago. Was okay but the crust seemed dense/heavy. Loui's and Cloverleaf Detroit style are much lighter and better eating IMO. Tonight, got a Buddy's burger. Was cooked to order (medium rare) and pretty good...fries were too. Ordered chicken alfredo, minestrone, and a side salad for tomorrow to get the order over $40 for the discount.

Big discounts on doordash usually go away after a day but Buddy's is still there. Good deal, especially with dashpass.

If there's one thing I'm completely unpretentious about, it's pizza. And beer. Also music. And literature and watches and clothing. The pizza I like best right now is Domino's. It used to be just okay, and I went a few years without having it. Then a Domino's opened close to me and we ordered a couple of pizzas. They were delicious. It's now my favorite pizza. I also like pizza-flavored Combos but not as much.

It's better than any other, at least to my taste. Even if all prices were equal, I'd choose Domino's.

I just had a Dominos yesterday, and yes I liked it better than Jets. Ham and mushroom toppings. Jets seems like it's all about the crust now, either that or it's getting overcooked.

The Big Beaver/Rochester Buscemi's is the best of any I've ever been to. Ocassionally have what they call "pizza sandwich" in the case with their other fine pizza selections. Salami, large pepperoni, onion, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, and provolone on pizza crust...topped with some of their homemade Italian dressing. So good!

Went to a brewpub last night. No food, but they had a calzone food tent/truck. Seems like they would have been better off having a kitchen. But, what the hell do I know. Big place.
And near the pizza place. Got the $32 meaty and a pepperoni. Brought it back to the brewpub. Good cheese and toppings. But crust was not a hit.
Beer was OK. No waiters. No waitresses. Just a big spot where you get your beer. 14 taps. No bottles. No wine. No popcorn. No peanuts. Nobody greeting you when you walk in. So strange. Like some beer nerds opened a place with 0 restaurant/bar experience. Hope they make it.

Why I like light bake. Crust is still crispy, yet none of the cheese is burnt. Pretty sure Jets was the 1st to offer that option. Other places offer it now.

Mrs GW had Buddy’s delivered for lunch today. I’ll never understand the hype. The dough was good, the cheese good, but the pepperoni count was embarrassingly low. The biggest violation was the sauce, and it was lacking as it always is. Jet’s is better.

Got another slice of this yesterday. Should have taken a picture. Slice was loaded. They've made it even better by seasoning the top crust like an everything bagel.
