I used to miss Meijer but now that I have Wegmans, Meijer sucks.

Boar's Head is premium. The Publix brand is probably about $7.99/lb. The packaged stuff you can get for $3.99 - $6.99 a package, and that goes on sale.

AFAIK there aren't any Piggly Wigglies in Miami, or at least in South Dade. That and we don't eat much bacon anymore.

I think they are keeping the name, but I'm pretty sure they sold off half their stores. They are bigger in the Carolina's and deep south. I live in North Cuba. The cheap food is at Sedano's, but you need to watch the expiration dates.

Yep, I've done the freezer beef thing when I had the kids at home.   With just me here most of the time it doesn't make sense.

What's the going rate on duck these days?

Any projections for 9/12? I'm looking to have some roast duck that evening around 8pm.

I bought a bunch of 85% Ground Beef for $2.99/lb. I don't eat a ton of beef anymore, but that was the best price I've seen in about a year.

I hunt and fish a lot and I've found that wrapping in well in plastic wrap then freezer paper protects the food better then when I've used a vacuum sealer.

apparently it's around $14. Eggs just jumped up a dollar. From 2.99/dozen to 3.99 for jumbo.
