Serious question for you guys, do you honestly think he is undiminished? It seems pretty clear to me the he's in the midst of considerable mental decline, but I'm curious what people who would actually prefer him to Bernie think on the matter.

I think Biden can beat Trump and bring back some normalcy. Let's fix everything that's been broken, using a competent administration. After that, maybe start tipping the scales left. I just don't think Bernie can win the states that need to be won. 2024 have someone else run. No one cares that Reagan had dementia.

If he’s in decline how come he’s mopping the floor with Bernie and can pull off a historic comeback?

I don't know. Someone accused him this morning of trying to end the 2nd amendment and Joe told him not to be an ass. Seems OK to me.

between the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator, Russia and the mainstream media, we're going to hear a lot about Biden's emotional state.

unless Bernie wins.. then we'll be hearing about his emotional state.. his socialism.. his ties to Cuba, etc.

bottom line - they're going to demonize whoever the candidate is.

and America is probably stupid enough to fall for it.

I don’t really think Biden is in decline tbh. I think his stutter and gaffe machinery are emphasized when he’s put in the spotlight and that’s why he didn’t win a single state any of the other times he ran for president. I do think trump is though, and that he’s projecting.

That said, going back 6 months I don’t think that Biden was ever our safest choice to win, and that was a 24 hour cable news driven mistake.

And your conversation started with "dementia" and a "considerable mental decline". Did you lift those straight from FoxNews or is that just your personal "clear" analysis?

If I was influenced by anyone in that analysis (and I think it's fair to say that I was), it would be primarily Bernie supporters (The Hill's The Rising youtube show, among several others). That's partly why I was trying to feel out Biden supporters, to see if they also notice and just don't care, or if they think he seems fine.

Which is why he’s a terrible nominee and not even close to our safest choice going into this.

I mean, he’s old. He’s not quite as sharp as he was but he was always a weirdo who said and did weird things. He’s always been a gaffe machine. He’s always rambled on incoherently at times. That’s why I said his team better prep the shit out of him for debates with trump. Trump accuses him of corruption, he points to the facts of trumps corruption and pivots to policy plans, highlighting the differences with trump.

But yeah, even if he has lost a step or 5, he will have a talented team and that will make all the difference. I would literally vote for anyone against trump. Except Bloomberg.
