Actually steve was 1 of 3 in that thread. Proficiency rating decreased to 33%.steveschneider wrote:I'm of the mindset that Duke and MSU get in. I think at this point Duke will earn their way in they look like a sweet sixteen elite 8 team now. UNC is supposedly playing top tier ball right now as well.
It's a weird year and I think if the NCAA wants a good product next month they'd be stupid to keep MSU out of the tournament.steveschneider wrote:I have a hot take for the listeners. I think Tom Izzo is going to fuck Juwan Howard’s shit up twice.

Steve, second time thread caller, long time listener. What seed do you think MSU will get?
A few years ago Syracuse got in and everyone was complaining about some other school that got hosed. My answer is whatever number seed they got sounds about right. If we go on a big run to close out the regular season and do some unbelievable shit probably even better.

The old get a life call out. I have a robust social life and hobbies. I'm chained to the desk 9-5 just like most of us so here I am. Also, those tweets didn't really take a whole lot of time to generate and my current screen report on twitter equals a 29 minute daily average. This includes articles I read from links off the platform in the morning. Thank you very much.
No, I'm saying bragging about Twitter likes is really fucking weird and sounds kind of desperate.

Well on one side of the fence some guy is pooping his diapers about me being right about ratings and on the other side of the fence you have two industry pros validating my take. I posted that for a comparison.

I'm really all about peace and love. My posts are a gift to the world and when I give them some people just freak out.
I watched Ghandi recently and realized anyone that is for peace love and unity is often met with hate and violence (Ghandi, MLK, John Lennon, George Harrison, Steve).

It is hilarious that you have gone on and on about this for 3 pages and not a single person, not one, has said that ratings are not a factor. Not in this thread and not in the other thread.
Of course MSU and Duke and Kentucky and UNC will get more leeway with the commitee. Of fucking course they matched MSU/UCLA on Thursday for ratings. Especially since they switched the format. They needed a marquee game Thursday and MSU/UCLA gave them the perfect opportunity. This is fucking obvious and not one person, zero, zilch, nada has suggested otherwise.
If I could just get in there a poke around a little bit to see what makes you tick.

I love that movie. Charlie Kaufman can write a script like nobodies business...
I mean I agree with everything your wrote there. The back story is I got mocked for the ratings take a while back, so I showed up and dunked on someone and it didn't go so well. Also, I had a blunder about Iona so I ended up with some egg on my face as well.

Steve, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
The only correction really that's missing is I think you were absent from the back story. There was some mocking of me that went down in a Spartan game thread and then in another subsequent thread I got a few more jabs about ratings and then I dunked on someone when the UCLA MSU game was announced.
Regarding Duke I'll defer to you and Nigel. I still firmly believe Duke would be in if a player didn't test positive. That's my opinion.

Steve, you have never dunked on anyone. In 1987 you touched the net on a basket at an outdoor court in DeWitt, and that is the closest you have come to dunking.

Take what you can get. Their draw is fair IMO. Gotta play an extra game, but it is against an equal level opponent on a Thur night time slot. Sets up the potential for some day drinking Saturday. Great opportunity.
I like the new schedule overall. Fri-Mon works and you keep some tradition moving the First Four games to Thur. For me, and I'm sure a lot of others, Thursday is the start of March Madness. I could never get into the Tue/Wed games. It brings some legitimacy and more eyeballs to those games as well.
Looks like a win win to me.
This, especially the bolded part. I didnt realize the First Four was on Thursday this year until I saw our game day/time this morning. I'll take it this year because of MSU, but I like two full days of blowing off work for tourney games.
Not gonna lie, I could use some hoops in the background as I plow through emails

Last nights Syracuse game probably did well in New York and caught a good slice of the west coast market. There's a reason it got the a team broadcast treatment on CBS.
