Trevor has a notice on the main board that he wanted the RCMB to bring Spartans together and that suddenly Wells is not in line with that purpose. Probably nothing to do with the drop off in posting on Wells...

However, the main issue is the zeitgeist which has taken hold on the RCMB over the years. When similar behavior is allowed on the sports board to what was on Wells there is no hope for MOD's to control the situation. General community behavior must start with the people in the community.

edit - yes a VIP only solution was tried on Wells, but for some reason it was abandoned.

The crazy thing is that it wasn't done because of trolls on Wells. It was done because a poster on the main board was being harassed in real life by another poster. When he posted about that, it opened the floodgates for tales of doxxing and stalking, all by posters on the main board. So Trevor shut down Wells. Because why not.
