Damn, I won 4 bucks and I spent $20. I'm setting up a bridge LLC that will set up a receiver LLC to collect the winnings and then transfer the winnings to the bridge LLC. Then I will dissolve the receiver LLC after the transfer. That way I can remain anonymous and avoid all those hucksters who want a piece of my $4.

Then it occurred to me that this is in California, which means their lottery offices have barely opened (and probably not when this started hitting the internet), yet they'd already apparently met with him, verified his ticket, and held a press conference.

The story also said that he bought $30k in tickets, but picked each ticket himself. I think that would be basically impossible to fill out. Even if it took 1 minute to fill out each play, that would take over 8 hours of nonstop picking. Plus, it usually takes a few days for the winners to come out. Good story though and hilarious if some people fell for it. No way someone walks into a 7-11 with $30k cash to make 15k plays, which would probably take another 4 or 5 hours to put through the machine.
