The AP also added material to the story, which details the specific words and examples Reade says she used in a Senate complaint about Joe Biden. The AP is adding the material to reflect that while Reade says she did not specifically use the words “sexual harassment” in the complaint, she says the behavior she was describing amounts to sexual harassment.

Characterizing that as "her story was BS and she's walking it back" seems like wishful thinking to me.

I mean, her now saying that she didn’t include the allegation of sexual assault that she’s now claiming in the still to be found complaint she says she filed isn’t nothing cam. It’s a pretty significant change. She’s basically saying that even if this phantom complaint is found it will not give any answers. She’s trying to keep doubt out there so that this issue stays relevant throughout the campaign. It’s starting to look a lot like other campaign tactics from 2016 (and unfortunately like misinformation campaigns) in that it starts with a kernel of truth (she was let go or fired with little notice to staff) and then infers a bunch of unprovable stuff that opponents can riff wild speculating of.

I posted my take yesterday, maybe that editors note came out after my take? Also, I don't see anything additional there that really changes my opinion that this lady is full of shit. I think she's a liar and does a real disservice to actual victims.

I have no idea. There was like three pundits that for a while swore they had an insider confirm it was her but this was like a month and a half ago. Who knows? Honestly the VP guess work reminds me of 247 style predictions on recruits and where they will commit. It all just seems like guess work to me.

Yeah, there's similar thoughts about Tammy Baldwin to win Wisconsin. I'm pretty indifferent about it to be honest, I think there's a lot of good choices. Do whatever it takes to win in Nov and end this clown show next January.

All correct. Still you'd think at this point they'd be okay with her as vp? Her platform is progressive and she'd be in a good position for 2024 to be president. Seems like a good opportunity to move the agenda forward if you ask me.
